knowledgeable about the math but easily frustrated when student's don't immediately understand. personal attacks / criticisms that should not come from a person in a position of power. bad memories.
Not bad, but not good either. She is quite strict. She left about 1/4 through the semester, due to a really bad illness. Hasn't been back since, suspected cancer. Got a really good (full time) sub though.
I really didn't mind her.. The only thing I disliked was that for every single test there would be a "challenge question" which every other class had practised when we had not. For example, in our parabola unit, the last question was a question we had as a bonus on our graphing assignment which only 4 kids from our class had completed. If you understand math, you'll be fine but if you're expecting a teacher who teaches, good luck. Got a high ninety so don't worry, it's possible with her.
Patronizing, rude, her notes aren't even notes they are just examples of her solving problems, she's always in your personal business and makes everything about her. If you have her, drop her class. If you need math help, don't go to her. She will not answer your question or will just make you feel worse.
I've had her twice now, once in grade 10 and once in grade 12. She's really not as bad as people say she is. I didn't like her in grade 10 because of my ridiculous IB mentality where I hated teachers for giving me "bad" grades when really I was the one not working hard enough. But she was really chill in grade 12. Sometimes she is forgetful though. More than once, she added up my test score wrong causing me to lose up to 20% until I pointed it out to her and then she would fix it.
Ms. Bleaney is, in my experiences, a very good teacher. She is very willing to answer questions and lend assistance with your projects any time. It is true that occasionally she forgets how to do something, or can't answer a question, but she has been teaching for a long time and teaches many courses, so that's a ton of stuff to remember and she can't really be blamed. As for picking favourites, everyone is saying "good luck if you're a guy" but I'm a guy and she was always pleasant enough to me
SMILE IF YOU ARE MAD! Bleaney is best teacher i ever see in my whole life of a gallon.
Not fair, at all. Doesn't help you, hates teaching.
No the best - not awful - but overall if you can switch do so
I had her for pre-ib gr.10 math and honestly she was helpful she tried her best! dont listen to what people have to say about her she is way better than my current math teacher i would love to have her as a math teacher agian. She was very nice and tried her best to explain things!
An evil teacher who doesnt help you when you ask for it. She is always boasting and getting involved in your personal business! VERY ANNOYING AND INTRUSIVE!!!!!!! I is impossible to do well in her class! i did my homework ever night and went for extra help often and still found it a struggle.
She does not know how to teach at all. I would go in for extra help during my lunch time and she just kept repeating herself over again. She does not like to teach and it showed. One of the worst teac
A lot of people say Bleaney sucks, but she's not that bad. Just do your homework every night and ask her for help if you dont get stuff.
Semi-nice person. Very bad teacher! If you have her, you better switch as soon as you can!! Just because she treats you nice doesn't mean that she is a good teacher!!
had time to see her but was not helpful, was very loud and gavve out two hours of homework every night
Avoid this class. Mrs. Bleaney probably has a good heart but she sure makes learning math impossible. Some people liked her okay but I was always frustrated in her class.
horrible teacher. had to stall class for almost the whole period to fix mixtakes she made in her lessons
I really like her, though her explaining could use some work. She actually does know math, so if you take the time to ask her, she can help you a lot. You need to work one on one though.
I liked her in grade 9, but didn't have her for higher-level-math courses. She's nice, but is not the most effective teacher.
I DISLIKE her... She's mean and an aweful teacher... Everyone I know in my class is taking summerschool because we're all nearly failing because of her bad marking skills. I went from 70% to a 55%.
mrs bleaney does pick favorites and is a very boring teacher and very very mean... i dislike being in her class very much
i think Mrs. Bleaney was a very helpful teacher... i could always count on her to help me out if i needed it
Can you spell B-O-R-I-N-G.......cuz I can and Mrs.Bleany defines it
Mrs.Bleaney happens to be very nice and alot of you have serious issuses as I've talked to MANY of her students who said she was amazing before they even knew who I was.
i think she was one of the greatest teachers i've had so far. she's great...very helpful, very nice and always makes sure everyone understands the material.
she was a very riendly, funny teacher, who was very caring and understandhing of your problems
shes an aiight teacher...had her for gr9 n 10..shes always ready 2 help n explain stuff...more...so ya..shes a good teacher :D i still find math borrin
her lessons were a bit hard to comprehend however if you do the work she makes you do then you'll understand it all eventually.
Ms. Bleaney is an awesome teacher. Hard but not unreasonable, she never asks what we can't give. The fellow down there who said she picks favorites is nuts.
Mrs.Bleaney seemed to pick favourites, and was extremly curt to the the majority of the students, did not make learning fun and now I hate math...way to go!
A very good teacher for Computer Science; taught me a lot, was easy to get along with.
