Coming from an IB student. He does NOT teach grammar and he expects you to learn it yourself (using websites such as le point du fle), most classes he speaks in french regarding issues he feels are worth talking about (very random). He has no marking system but does assess you on writing which is found on paper 2. While I wanna be frustrated, if you read some passages and work on your writing you are ready for 80% of the marks. The Spanish class although has way more preparation and confidence.

A different way of teaching. He has strong opinions and a unique worldview, but his passion for language and literature will be instilled into you permanently. Admirable man, and we learned much more than just French after 3 years with him. He's more of a philosopher than Capier is. Heart of gold, and very gentle even if he seems intimidating at times.

He assigned us a project in French, giving us no guidelines, and expected us to know to present without a script. He told the class what he wanted after half the class, including me, had presented.

I get the impression that he genuinely cares that we actively try to learn, instead of waiting for information to be fed to us. very intimidating but not a bad person. goes on some decent tangents

Definitely the hardest English teacher at school for regular English 12. Fun, interesting classes, but he doesn`t give good marks that easily. Best English teacher at school in terms of helpfulness!

As a person, his intensity and rigid views scare me, but as a reacher, he demands respect and obtains it. But could teach more I think. I like tat he actually speaks in french rather than in English.

WORST TEACHER. He doesn't care at all about the students. He comes late, gives a ton of hmwk, and even if u finish all the work to the best of your ability, u can expect a C- or an F.

Doesn't teach, just hands you a piece of paper, says go, and leaves the class to go do whatever he fancies. Reads his novel in the middle of the class. We came here to learn!!

cool, interesting guy, helpful as long as you ask questions. i found his marking very generous - kids who say otherwise must be really bad at french - because i had practically zero homework all year.
