Mr. Sommerkamp aka the walking savage. Man is a beast of a teacher. Very kind, nice, wants nothing but success for his students. Goes out of his way to help you and gives good tests reviews. His lessons make sense if you pay close attention but honestly I just self-taught at home so I could admire the guy when he worked his magic in front of the class. Man hates the Nelson textbook with a passion. Future Grade 12s, plz try to stay somewhat focused after midterms. Don't do what I did. #Gainz

I couldn't really understand him at first but he's a really good teacher if you pay attention and he's really helpful and will answer any question you ask and his test outlines is the cherry on top. Great teacher, really smart and funny.

you either love him or hate him.i think he is a better teacher for those who already have a good understanding in math.. if you need more explanation that he is not the teacher for you. not very encouraging.. will probably tell you to go to applied/college while you still can (even though i ended up with a 90..)

This teacher is like Albert Einstein: he is a genius, but very few are at his level. He is supposed to be working at NASA and not wasting his talent in this school. I have been inspired in Math, good!

LIke others have said, he is very intellegent, however he is incapable of teacheing, Communicating and understanding is diffifficult (for his strong accent), Also ne never clears up questions properly

his advanced functions course is either extremely easy for some, or a pain for others. Just hope you're not a victim of struggling in the course because you'll get no help otherwise it's very simple.

He's honestly the best math teacher i've ever had. He was an amazing teacher if ur a good student and eventhough he didnt understand the question he would always end up giving an answer somehow.

Very intelligent guy, but very bad at teaching (much like half of my university profs). He is very bad at answering questions and clarifying concepts.

Not a good teacher. Does not help with answering questions. All he can answer are yes or no question. He may probably be a good teacher for the lower levels for being lively, but he really can't teach

The joke in our class was to ask him a question becuase he couldn't answer our question, he only ever restated what he just said in the lesson minutes ago. Probally the most knowledgeable math teacher in the school just wish he was a little better at communicating it.
