My son took art classes from Mr. Mayo for four consecutive years. Mr. Mayo had an extreemly positive influence on him. So much so in fact, that my son became an art teacher in hopes of following in Mr. Mayo’s footsteps.
Tony Mayo has many, many former students that are very successful artist and designers working in Canada, United States, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Italy, Greece, England and other countries throughout the world. I think that really says it all!
For an art teacher he was way too structured and didn't leave any room for student creativity. Good work was always produced in his class but it looked exactly the same as everyone else's.
Anyone who actually cares about art will quickly recognize that this teacher is AMAZING and always has your best interest at heart!! He puts in TONS of extra hours and will push you to be your best!
Either its his way or no way... that's the way teachers should be. Right...
He didn't like me because I wasn't as serious about art as others were. I didn't hand in 2 projects, and 1 was 3 days late n I didn't fail. It was great
he kicked me out of his class for not moving quick enough.... i think that explains enough
Well Hes A Good Teacher for " the Arts " but my mayo always seemed to be the teacher that should have his own "Mayo school of fine arts" rather then a single R.
Mr. Mayo is the greatest! He has to be the best teacher at Bateman. He actually cares about his students! He'll stay after school with you for hours, helping.
Mr. Mayo is awesome! He challeges you, which is definetely something art students need. He's a great guy, and should never ever stop teaching!
mr mayo rocks! he knows what hes talking about and he gives great instructions. many of his students produce great artwork, along with himself.
He is very strict and serious about art, but it's obvious that he knows what he's talking about.
