He has very strong opinions that are sometimes controversial, making the class somewhat interesting. However, he is an excellent teacher. He does not teach from the textbook meaning he gives you a great dose of the real world. Very highly knowledgeable on many topics such as law, politics, finance, economics, etc. His tests are tougher than the other teachers, but its not hard to pull off a decent mark, and the knowledge you'll gain will be well worth it.
Delville is a unique teacher. He gives all the students stories about his life that most other teachers wouldn't even talk about. It's more than a job for Delville, he takes his career to a personal level teaching his students about what life has to offer. All his values are moral and that's what he tries to teach each and everyone of his students. You won't regret being in his class, everyone knows Delville. Great teacher and mentor.
Beer, billiards, and shuffleboard.
Delville is a real teacher, teaches what actually matters and connects with students keeping them entertained.
Left me at a 69% because of the amount of times I fell asleep in class. Thanks, sir.
Extremely knowledgeable. His grade 12 politics and law courses are great university prep. Has some great advice on universities and future career decisions.
never in my life have i had such an arrogant, irresponsible teacher. he has no regard for the rules and couldn't care less about what he's actually supposed to be teaching. all he does is ramble on about what he thinks. if you get him, switch out while you can
bad teacher...he needs to learn to keep his views to himself. nobody cares what he thinks about the government or what party he likes, we go there for him to teach us about government, not for him to ramble on and on about how much he hates the government. if he's so unhappy about the federal government than i guess he should leave the country. he's also a conspiracy theorist. he thinks his opinions are the only ones that matter.
He's a horrible teacher in the generic sense. Which is why he's so good. He's not a generic teacher. He's not my favourite teacher, actually I'm sure I've said my fair share of negative commentd about him, but they're usually aimed at the personality conflict, not so much the teaching. It's just a little unnerving to have to hear what borders on an intolerable amount of religious reasoning in a politics class, especially if one's an Atheist. That aside, his classes in which he actually holds discussions are
Mr. Delville was my teacher in 1981 at the old Brebeuf school. He was much younger then but I totally remember his english class and law class to this day. He was different, good teacher and it's great to see him still around!
Omg he is an awesome teacher he could be telling u a lie and he explains it and backs it up with info and everything he make u believe him cant wait till more law
I had Tony Delville's for english and law. It was his classes that prepared me for University. I found no other classes in highschool encouraged critical thinking skills as effectively as Mr. Delville's classes. He is an excellent teacher. He actually expects people think logically and have informed opinions.
see mr. delville is kinda hit an miss to me. some days i thought he was amazing then others not so much. i have never met a teacher more carefree then him about lates. hes pretty much late everyday therefore i was too. and his quizes and tests. i think we had 4 quizes and 2 tests in total? thats it and an isu. we basically had no marks at all. the great thing abt him is hes very nice about handing things in whenever but I just found the entire class was a waste of my time and i came out knowing nth abt law
I learned how to properly write and essay in his grade 11 english class and still use the methods he taught me today. One of the few classes from high school that I was able to apply what I learned to life after school. Good job Mr. D!
best teacher I have ever had. I've never learned so much as I have from you sir! you rock!
sir you are a nice person and a very good teacher. you know what you are talking about and you are very wise. he is a tough teacher when it somes to tests but he is alwso funny and likes it when students get involved in class discussions.
Tough teacher but fair. Likes when you challenge him. Keep in mind it is a Catholic school so everything is allowed to be related back to religion. If you don't agree with what he says, make sure you know what you are talking about and argue your point. You'll gain his respect. He says outrageous things so that students will object. He wants you to think. His class was the closest I had in high school to a university lecture.
You are one of the funniest people I've ever met. I learned nothing about Law or English when I had your classes, but I learned a lot about your own personal views. I also learned techniques of spewing sardonic wit. Get well soon, you sicko.
i liked mr delville...he was cool on the Europe trip
cool teacher one of the best one's left in a faultering education system
Don't be scared. Get involved and he'll like you, as long as you don't get offensive. Get him talking about headlines in the news and class will go by quick.
Relates and backs everything up with religion. Touch marker but teachs students many life lessons.
You're one tough teacher, but you're the funniest teacher I've ever had. I'll remember that Televised execution idea you had for the rest of my life!
Ok,great law teacher here. I loved your class so much I applied to law school...Now i'm a teacher! I'll never forget that uniform essay you gave me.. Tough guy!
although some find his class difficult, they must remember what he teaches isnt easy to relate to kids. I love him better as a person then as a teacher probably because he took me on the fantastic trip to europe
You teach english and law, not religion, stick to your subject areas!
I HAVE NOT HAD HIM AS A TEACHER, BUT I HEAR THAT HE IS ONE OF THE TEACHERS THAT DOES NOT TEACH HIS STUDENTS AS WELL.
