While intimidating to many, keep on track and maintain a positive attitude and he's invaluable. He has a very personal, fatherly air about him and he truly cares about learning and his students. His philosophy on life and the stories he tells are always enlightening and fun. Always quick to help and keep the class engaged, he will speak one on one whenever necessary and truly makes an effort make sure you learn everything that you can from him. By far my favorite teacher after 4 years in BCI!
One of the best teachers at BCI. Yes, he's intimidating at first. He knows his stuff, and will push you to succeed. He won't take any crap in his class, expecting you to be mature and professional. If you do your best, he'll be satisfied.
Mr. Ulysse is very funny and makes lots of jokes all the time. He's difficult and expects a lot which is why he's so hard. I liked him though when he's nice.
He`s probably the worst teacher ive ever had. He doesnt explain anything. I once asked him to explain something and he told me to google it. He doesnt give any clarity on projects whatsoever. He tears your confidence down in front of everyone. He expects us to pay 100 bucks for a grammar check or else get horrible marks on all french work. I havent had a single lesson or learned anything new in his french class. He thinks its funny to make fun of his students. I cant stand the man!
He's a good teacher and all, but super intimidating and doesn't understand if you don't get what you're supposed to do. Confusing and not amazing. P.s. all the answers for the exam are on his site.
Talking about M. Ulysse as a teacher is a very difficult thing to do. On one hand, he is absolutely terrifying. He fills kids' hearts with the fear of god, and when he's unhappy, nobody is happy. However, at the same time, he is a funny person who enjoys joking around and having fun. If you take the time to talk to him about things, he can be understanding, but only if you're justified in whatever you're trying to talk to him about. We suspect his mood swings have something to do with his wife..
Currently a Masters student, had Ulysse for 7 classes back in high school. He single handedly prepared me for university with the way he taught. Great mentor, teacher, and coach. He is a brilliant man
I agree with many of the others who have rated M. Ulysse. I am in my 8th year of post-secondary education, working on my PhD, and taught for five years. M. Ulysse is the single teacher who had the m
Mr Ulysse expects you to act professional, and like a university student. Do this, and I promise you will get 100% in his courses. It is not as difficult as it may seem. He is VERY smart!
He was mad cause I accidentally named our group the big balls on the first day... other then that hes a good teacher though :)
at first he was intimidating, but after awhile, you realize how funny he is. he's a smart guy, and makes sure you understand before moving to a new unit.
LOVE mr. ulysse. he was a great teacher. For christmas, well sang carols in latin. My friends in english geo were jelous.
After five years at BCI, seven years post-secondary for three degrees, and two years teaching myself, I would call M. Ulysse the most influential teacher I've had. I often remember him, and think about what he would do.
Most intelligent person I've ever met. Always there to offer constructive criticism - definitely my favourite teacher.
Great, great, great. True he is intimidating, not the best for shy peeps. But he's awesome and so knowledeable and qualified. My favourite teacher at bci.
an interesting man.extremely intimidating but nontheless a great teacher.
after that last lesson before exams, we all had to clap. learned lots in that geography class
Didn't like him at first...he can be a little intimidating...but after a while, he has become one of my favourite teachers!!!
By far the most influential and one of the best teachers I have every had... eight years of university included!
Great guy, made the class fun with his daily attendance jokes. Only french teacher I ever liked!
