Very reserved person but he’s really sweet and takes the time to help you out one on one (he wont let you go until you completely understand). Do the homework and youll be fine, if ur struggling then go see him and hell be the biggest help
Do you want a teacher that gives you a lot of helpful exercises in class? Do you want your teacher to provide you with graphics for you to understand? Do you want your teacher to speak modern english? Do you want an energetic enthousiastic & dynamic teacher? Most importantly, do you want to understand calculus I? Well too bad you are stuck with Steve Papadakis.
Honestly, he's actually a very smart guy and is nice but talks to himself and faces the board so you can't hear anything. Tests are impossible to finish, gives a lot of homework but doesn't check so i never did, recommend that you do the homework bcz he bases his tests on it. every week he gives a quiz but gives a 100% finished or not, easy 10%. His notes are all example.
Steve Paps is a great teacher okay. Could a be little hard to understand sometimes eh but study and review the notes and you'll be fine right
His notes are helpful and very clear. The homework he assigns are useful and worth doing since it really improves your understanding. His exams are somewhat similar to the exercises done in class and the homework he assigns therefore you know what to expect in them. He is kind and easy to approach. I highly recommended him!
Smartest man ever
Best teacher, love this guy. Tests are very easy, very little homework to do, and if you're able to do them, 90+ guaranteed. If you ask a question during the test, he will try to help you out. Free 10% for quizzes. NO WEBWORKS!
Honestly an amazing teacher, take him if you can!
Had him for cal 2. A lot of notes to take in one class. If you have questions, you better ask them or else you will fly by new course topics. However, he answers questions 1 on 1 very clearly.
his in class notes are really clear and organized but his exams are much harder than what is learnt in class, however his weekly quizzes really help to boost one's grade; hes a really nice teacher though
This teacher is nice and very knowledgeable. At first I didn't like him, but he's actually really good, especially in 1 to1. Ask questions!!! Otherwise he thinks you understand. When you ask for help he will try to be the clearest he can. Make sure to so the assignments. He lets you take pics of the book so you dont have to buy it. Test are short max 5 questions and final 10. They seems hard but believe me he doesnt like complicated stuff. Would totally take him again!! Just give him a chance
Very nice teacher. His teaching method is just giving examples on the board and when he explains, he explains it facing the board, so its not that clear. But if you don't understand something he will explain it to you in detail. His test are short, but its hard, similar level to his quizzes. He gives quizzes every week, but you automatically get 100 finish or not, he just use it as attendance (free 10%)!! Overall he's a good teacher, but you need to work hard to understand as well.
take him hes the besttttt. very good teacher :3
nice teacher but he basically speaks to the board. he assumes everyone understands and just moves on to the next topic.
Great teacher 10/10 would recommend.
I had to write this because i dont want you all to fall inthe prey. I got no choice as its the college who chose him as my teacher but please DONT EVER CHOOSE HIM. All he does is talk to the blackboard and you keep on taking examples as notes in your notebook.he never explains a single thing clearly. I always want to get out of that class as soon as posible. Im stuck there for my first semester 😔😔😔😔😭
a good teacher, he will listen and try to help you if you have a question. If not, he will just continue the course assuming you understand. His tests are short and look like the quizzes and the homework that he assign however don't rely on him to understand a topic, you will have to study by yourself. overall he is a nice guy.
Not the best teacher, but very nice guy. You can only manage if you do all the work he assigns from the very first class. He helps you if you do not understand, I failed both his test and still managed to pass the class; but I started working midway through the semester. He flies by the material but he's understandable. His test are easy, if you understand what you're doing. If you're a hard working student take him, if not don't.
He's a really nice guy but he cannot teach at all. Had him for Cal 1. All he does is write examples on the board and he goes too fast. He gives 100% for all the quizzes but if you don't understand, you're screwed for your exam. The only good thing about him is that you don't need to buy the expensive textbook and you can just take pics of his book. I ended up dropping out and so did half of my class. I do not recommend him unless you are willing to study on your own or get a tutor.
He is a nice guy,but he doesn't have teaching skills and he doesn't show any passion in his class, so drop his class before it is too late, because you'll regret it
He is the worst teacher you ccould ever imagine. If you want to pass his class you HAVE to teach yourself or find someone to hel you because trust me you won't pass his class just by attending. His test a relatively easy BUT you have to learn the material by yourself or else you WONT pass. He just does examples in class which doesn't help . Good Luck
Take him only if you think that you are able to teach your self literally the entire course. He doesn't teach. You get 0 theory, only bunch of examples on the board. He gives everyone 100% for attending his quizzes even if you submit an empty paper; Quizzes are worth 10% of the grade. He does so to boost the class average since it's extremely low. Even with this 10% the final class average wasn't passing. To add, we never had passing averages, first test was in forties, 2nd in twenties. Avoid.
He's a good teacher. It's funny how most of the people criticizing him are illiterate. How do you expect to understand math if you can't even write ahahah? He just seems tired of his job but his tests are EASY!
Do not take him unless you are willing to put time and effort to learn by yourself. Honestly, his exams were not that bad but his teaching is horrible. He expects us to understand everything he does. He has a lot of knowledge but he is just not able to transfer that knowledge to his students. Good thing is if you fail all the exams during the whole semester, the final exam will count for 100% if you pass it.
horrible and lazy. he doesnt care about his students. if you have a hard time in math, he isnt for you. im not an expert in math but i averaged 70s in high school. i studied everyday for cal1 and did all of the homework and went to every class. i failed with 40%. honestly i dont recommend him. when i asked him for extra help he just told me that i was basically a lost cause. now im stuck at vanier an extra semester. dont take him.
Amazing teacher for Cal 2. Teaches very well, notes are clear and tests are easy but long. Tests are exactly like examples given in class, which he teaches well. Take him!!
took him for calculus1, i studied every day and went to every class. i did all of the homework but still failed. his tests are nothing like the homework and expects you to know everything. he doesnt explain things properly and gets annoyed when you dont understand. dont take him if you need it for exemption. dont.
how he teachs cal1:1/2 a page of a math concept and then 5 pages of every possible example with that concept then hw (optional-no webwrks). So basically if u do hw and understand his notes/examples or even jus memorize how to do them then ull ace exams and tests cuz they're similar. his tests have 5 quest &his; final has 10...theres no trick or long quest. jus simple prblms like his notes and hw. boring cuz ur jus copin whol class but nots r gud. also explains well 1on1 if u need it. DONT SLAK
I loved him!!! I wanted to have him again. He's really awesome and funny guy, he will answer all questions, but he won't be so good with the explaining, his tests are really easy though. No worries. e
Took him for Cal 1, and it was the easiest class ever! He cant teach for his life so you'll have to teach yourself, but his tests are rlly easy if your prepared (only 5 questions per test) which are v
He's fine! His tests are ok but you need to work. Youll have no webwork for Cal II and the homeworks are similar to questions in test. Sometimes hard to follow him.
He's a real nice person, but teaching isn't for him. His tests are super easy if you're well prepared. Just buy a book and teach yourself with examples and you'll do fine.
do you want to teach yourself? hes a nice guy but not a very good teacher.
Cal2. Good if you know cal. Doesn't really explain, just shows examples and doesn't say why this and why that. Easy, short tests
He's pretty good for cal2 it's just if youre good in math, then no need to worry about failing his classes
Not a good explainer, quizes are in groups but hard tests
Very good teacher, especially for Cal 2. Makes things very simple.
Great teacher! Felt very comfortable with class material and enjoyed his class.
had him 4 cal 3. hes very easy but very boring n u can still pass without studying but that wouldnt help u in the future neways.
This teacher was my first one: cal I. The first college classes were really hard to understand..I did a lot of effort and in his exams had overall 87.the final was made by others and was really hard
What a great teacher! He really takes the time to help every student (if they ask for it). I really felt I understood all the material. He speaks quietly so sit near the front!
I think that Steve is a very good teacher and those who say that he doesn't give theory obviously don't know what it means,he's very helpfull. But dont forget were all in college and were all adults so
Very boring.Read the book to understand because he sometimes goes too fast.Do assignments.Easy tests and fair grader.Easy to pass, but not easy to actually learn stuff.
he's not always clear, but his tests are very fair, if you do all the homeworks he assigns, you'll do fine.
Good teacher, just do ALL the homework and you'll be fine. I passed his class with 77%. He's pretty chill and answers all your questions. Decent marker.
hes a very bad teacher teacher if you dont understand something hell exaplain it to you but he'll explain it very quickly, so you might still not understand it.
This teacher is pretty calm and easygoing, but if you have natural difficulty in math DO NOT TAKE HIM!! He is really unclear when he explains, and doesnt explain much in his examples.
Sometimes he's a little unclear, but overall Steve is a great teacher! He's really helpful if you're having difficulties, ask him after class. Very focused during class-time and very kind.
This teacher is very nice, kind, quite, and extrely helpful. He is always willing to help the students that pay attention in his class. People who say hes not good dont know what they're talking about!
Steve's a great teacher..if you need help ask him and he'll take the time to show you..his tests are pretty straight forward...just do the homework and re-read the notes
his awesome. can't complaine but I can'T keep on noticing the sadness in his eyes... very depressing! EASY TESTS just grab this teacher if u can
doesn't know how to teach... he does examples on the board all class... unless you like to read the book, do NOT take. His test&exams are easy. Exam can be worth 100% though
Not the greatest teacher. I have him right now for Linear Algebra and he explains the stuff as if we already know it. During his office hours, he will explain but not during the class time.
This man takes his job seriously. If you go see him during office hours he will be more than glad to help you. In class it is easy not to understand him since he ONLY does examples. His tests are easy
U WANT TRUTH? I'LL GIVE IT TO U.. this teacher does not explain the material.he writes on the board, goes fast, do exercises.read from the book 4 tips.u'll do gr8... his exams r not bad. easy actually
Ughh... never had a worse math teacher... he doesn't like his job and acts like he wishes he already retired... I hope to never have a teacher half as bad as him again
That guy is a pretty weird character. Don't expect to have any emotions coming out of him. He really does not care if you fail or succeed, but he teaches well. Also, if you need help, he'll take the time, but once again, he won't come to you and offer to help; you have to go see him. His exams are ok.
this teacher tought me how to view math probelms with ease. He is an easy teacher if u come to class regularly.
With Steve, you will receive no theory but strictly examples throughout the entire course (Cal II). He's nice and willing to help, but you have to keep up with the given assignments or you'll fail. The final can count for 50% or 100% (whichever is higher). (He's a so-so marker)
Hes not that great of a teacher, just does alot of examples. Doesn't really help you too much....but his tests are pretty easy and straight forward and the marking scheme he uses makes it a breeze to pass.
Steve Rocks. Hes a great teacher who lets student our VERY EARLY (2 hour class lasts 1 hour). He doesnt do theory and does MANY examples which really helps students out. You can pass easily. Very easy marker if you just understand. If you skip well you wont pass since his tests are all based on classwork. YOU ROCK SIR
Open-book,ask teacher/friend for quiz.Free info everywhere. But take it seriously after.DO Understand the probs.else fail.last exam can b worth 4 100% if higher-else 25%.Do hw or ull b lost.sit in front, cuz teacher doesnt care about noises behind the class.Practice a lot n ull be fine-else fail. Those info are for avg student n below avg student.
Take this teacher if you want to fail CalII, i did all homeworks, went to all his classes and got 60's in his exams... he's nice but not a very good teacher....
Good Good Good:)))Helps a lot!:)Do your homework...!
Good teacher. Do your homework and work the examples = 80 % guarantee. Careful in the final, might have few surprises.
He goes really quickly and only works with examples; very nice guy but you'll only get better help if you go and see him...his classes are a little tough
i didnt find him that great...his classes were fun cus we would just hang out in theback..he talks 2 the bord..final can be worth 100%(which can b a good thing)
All examples and not much theory. Explains things quickly while doing examples. He's very helpful ourtside of class. Open book quizes every week.
I did not pass, but i must say that his class ok. Quizes every week help. Do the homework and you will pass. Ask questions.
dont go into his class thinking he'll be easy because he's not!! make sure to do all the hmwk. Never explains only gives alot of examples.
good teacher, if you are good in math, you will be fine with him but remember u gata do the homework
Knows his stuffs, poor lectures, does only examples, not enough theories. but still, hes not bad
VERY GOOD TEACHER!! He explains very well and gives good notes and good examples!! He is very organized and always on time!!
he is an amazing teacher, really nice, kind he likes to help his students. He give many chances in order for the pupils to pass
WOW, calmest teacher ever, doesnt push u, but u will understand if u show up to class, very smart man
He's a great math teacher, one of the best. He gives too many examples and not enough real explanations but if you follow very well in class, you'll do great.
This guy is the most chillist teacher i ever had not only will u learn but u will understand and if your tired no homwork
This guy is The greatest math teacher I ever had. You'll know everything you need to succed and to have good base. Also he is very calm and straight. He's great
Nice guy. Doesn't say too much. Can be sarcastic at times, but usually pretty straight forward. Doesn't explain too much but gives a lot of examples.
He is a great teacher. Except he doesn't seem too excited about his work.
