Mr Longauer has taught two of my children and helped them to explore and develop their artistic talents. He has created an atmosphere that is comfortable, creative and fun for the kids and they're always welcome to hang out and even get math support! He's coordinated many fantastic school trips often taking place outside of school hrs. My kids have developed very close friendships within his classroom. He has a powerful and meaningful presence at Paul Dwyer!! Thank you! Patti & Jack V 👏

Steve was a thoughtful, and in-depth teacher. His projects were difficult, as they should be, he was a helpful person - and his marking structure was fair and well thought out. His classes were difficult, as they should be - and I learned a lot.
I would recommend anybody to take any of Steve's classes.

The persons who wrote a bad review on Mr. Longauer, I already know who they are because of their statements. These are the students who refused to give him the authority he deserved and who didn't even try to understand what he was saying.

Mr. Longauer is quite honestly one of the best art teachers I've ever known. He knows when to joke around, when to let his students have fun and when to buckle down and get his students working hard.

Sorry to see so many people don't like him....probably because they can't handle asking questions and listening in class.....or doing the work..... Mark

Dont bother taking his class. If at one point you had a true passion for art, having his class extinguishes that passion. He compares your work to people who can do better. We don't compare your artwork to people that are better than you, because there are thousands who are, so dont judge us! By having that one person in the class that is artistic, it guarantees that your mark has no chance of exceeding 85.

A very stuck up and "by the book" type of teacher. His art classes are uninspiring and may turn you away form the visual art field! Needs to let loose and calm down before he will ever be a good teacher.

I learned nothing from him. His classes were consistently frustrating. Nice guy, but talks for a "Long Hour".
