We talk about life in class, most of the times and it is usually really hard to follow. He has specific rules and writing styles that are weird. He is also vague about what he wants and if you ask him to clarify something, he will throw something even more confusing at you. His course is more like philosophy than English. Although the classes are fun, you don't know how he marks you. I would say if you get his style, you will do very well but it is really hard to get him.

Really cool teacher, he talks about real life issues and things that will help you in life but my grades dropped tons. You learn a lot but your marks drop.

I have to say he is a nice teacher but not meant for the lower grades like 8 and 9. His speech is very hard to comprehend during class and I found it hard to ask him for help. Class was always fun but very confusing. I personally didn't like his class but I know some people who do.

I was so lost in his English 11-12 class I had no idea what he was looking for in our writing and his assignment descriptions were always super vague. I didn't really care for his humour or tangent rants either. That being said, in retrospect I did learn to write more organically and less in the "high school 5 paragraph essay" structure, which helped me in university. Really a hit and miss teacher...all I can say is - you may or may not like him or learn from him

all he does is tell stories about himself and then he tells us those are lessons on short stories and they are on the test even tho I don't have any idea what he is talking about, luckily its easy to get a good mark

When I was new in Grade 8, I was completely lost. He doesn't try to include new students. His conversations are interesting, but he focuses a lot on grammar. He has too many pop quizzes.

Great for AP...but hard to get into sync with his thought process if you don't already think on the same wave length as him. He's pretty nice/"cool" too! He wants participation!

He's cool, but I think he has WAY too much pointless discussion in his classes, and essays! I've always liked English, but this year I attend it reluctantly.
