Metzger was a lot nicer this year then the other years. She's not too bad, but if your away for a test date you better make it up to her by going in at the start of lunch to take it or she'll be pissed. Other then that she's not too bad overall, don't get much homework and test and quizzes aren't too hard if you put in a bit of work. Even the smallest amount.

Long story short take your last math mark and minus it by at least 15% and that will be your mark in her class. The stuff she teach is not on the test. She gets way too pissy if you don't participate in class and if you go ask for help, she'll blame you for not paying attention during the lesson. Also she will teach you "the beauty of math" and also how to "speak" math. It's better to get her in gr.9 and 10 because you don't want to get her in gr.12 :^) or it's bye bye your future career! :))

Would not recommend this teacher she is just terrible at her job.. everybody in most of her class is getting low marks because of her special way of teaching. Average was only in 60's range

I had Ms Metzger for two years and she is not as bad as a lot of students make her to be. If you participate and know how to follow her math style, the class is pretty easy and its not hard to learn.

Metzger is undisputedly the best math teacher I have ever had. Every class I had with her feels like an adventure. She teaches with such passion and regard for the subject. She is always welcoming to her students and will not hesitate to give clarity if needed. I used to hate math, but after taking her course, I have decided to pursue a career in mathematical aviation science at University of Uganda. You rock, Metzger! :D

Someone please send God down to math department in Dr. Norman Bethune C.I. Having Metzger as a math teacher was torture. At least resign her as a janitor or something. She marks hard, teaches useless math, even other math teachers at Bethune teaches better than her. I got a 80% last year and now I'm at a 60% . Her assignments are easy but her tests are like Satan questions that don't make sense. Her teaching is awful. Good luck if you have her next year.

A tough class, needs some self teaching and once refused to answer my question during a test stating that it was on the board or you should know it. If you don't understand the first time around then its going to be hard. Not the best at teaching for that reason many transfer out of her class and gets better grades in another math class. Very vague and seems kind of annoyed. As previously stated many transfer out or are really unhappy that shes their math teacher. Average marks are like 60-75%

If you don't understand the first time she teaches than your out of luck. Extremely unhelpful; when asked a question, she answers something completely irrelevant and looks annoyed, and goes back to what ever see was doing. Thankfully I got switched out of her class during a school wide class adjustment, though I was behind in the other class.

If you have the misfortune of being put into her class, drop a course and hope you get a better teacher. In her class, the only thing that you learn is how terrible of a teacher she is, especially if you're km the functions class. 99's become high 80s and 80s turn into 70. If you decide to stay in her class, the only thing you can really rely on is the textbook, and even then it's different from what she "teaches" so you'd still lose marks. ESL students will be fine since they don't udrstndNEway

Worst teach I've ever had in my life. She can't teach for beans. If you guys ever have her next year, drop the course or switch teacher for sure. Half of the class is screwed because of her and my class is probably the most far behind class compared with all the other Gr.11 Math classes.
