I loved her! She can be kind of scary at first but she actually cares a lot about the success of her students.
A little intimidating in the beginning, but you'll grow to admire her. She knows a LOT, and once you fit in you'll get along with her really well. It's sad that she's retiring though. 😞
If you don't mess around and put a lot of effort into her class, she can probably improve your French more than any other teacher. But whether or not she likes you, be prepared for your self-esteem to take a serious beating - she has very high standards and pulls no punches in her criticism. Clearly a very smart lady, and speaks excellent French, but not exactly a cuddly teddy bear.
M. Kuntsmann can be a little intimidating at first but she will grow on you throughout the year. You have to always be awake in class because she might show you a video, give you 5 minutes to write about it and then make everyone read their paragraph out loud to the class. She does the same thing with grammar when she teaches a lesson that doesn't make sense, then asks students if they understand and when everyone says yes she singles out kids and makes them conjugate a verb out loud.
Mme Kunstmann is the best french teacher I've ever had! Hilarious, sarcastic, knowledgable and has intriguing ideas about philosophy. Amazing class discussions too.
Mme. Kunstmann is the greatest. At first I didn't like her but I warmed up to her after realizing she's equally rude to everybody, which is better than singling out people I guess. She's truly very knowledgeable and her rants are very informative!
Mme Kunstmann is one of my favourite teachers at Lisgar. She's fully insane, but it's great, and if you're good at french a mark in the 90s is almost a given. That being said, you actually learn so much in her class - easily the best french teacher at the school.
I hope you read this M. Kuntsmann! This is Tim Weynerowski. I loved your classes. I remember I annoyed you so much, you didn't want to look at me, as I was the desk in front of yours, and I would get to spend the class on the couch in the corner. I made my first friends in your class. You taught me so much. I believe that the discipline you offer is necessary, and that more teachers should emphasize such values.
She is very strict, unreasonable and refuses to help anyone! I asked her for help and she said "I'm done for the day, BYE BYE!" and then she makes us do the presentation we needed help on the weekend after. She marks things very subjectively but not for CORRECTNESS. People say she train students well for AP and DELF. That's only because those are very easy to succeed in. I feel like my French has gotten so much worse! Teachers like Derry and Perras would be much better! She is horrible!
Mme Kuntsmann is one of my favourite teachers at LCI. Although she picks favourites, she remains a highly knowledgeable teacher. She allowed for much discussion of world issues, improving both my vocabulary and thinking. I've had her for three years and my opinion of her improves daily. For those of you who have Mme Kuntsmann, you are lucky.
Fascinating person, hugely unpredictable teacher. Almost never gave back marked work. Once you give up on making sense of the class, though, she's entertaining and makes French enjoyable.
Mme kuntsmann has decided that the curriculum does not apply to her and so we watched strange french movies, learnt practically no grammar, until we were forced to learn it ourselves she never marked
Her classes are extremely unorganized and suddenly comes up with impromptu assignments. She's a horrible grammar teacher, but her classes are nevertheless more entertaining and her projects are cool.
Not many people Like her; I thought she was strict but explained things well. Her handwriting sucks, though.
She's a great teacher, though a little overbearing at first. I would descirbe her as eccentric but her classes were enjoyable and i learnt quite a lot.
She's hard to understand. like you can't tell the difference when she's joking or being serious. And she talks rather fast. And she babbles, for about 40 minutes.
She was ok. I didn't like her much at first but she grew on me.
awesome teacher.... listen to her and learn mountains... especially when it comes to petit prince... her gr 9 village project ruled... estalumba forever!
When she wants to be, she's a fantastic teacher. If she's mad at you, you might as well be dead.
what's wrong with you guys? do you even listen to her?! if you do, you'll be set in life. so stop whining and pay attention!
She spreads rumors like no ones business. And they dont make any sense.
Wonderful Spanish teacher- because she prefers teaching spanish over french. Great person too!
Sara Kunstmann's teaching has changed my life in a great way, when she gets in the classroom everyday, she really makes a difference.
The only class I've ever taken where I learned absolutely nothing- had to rely on what I'd learned from my French teacher the year before.
Hilarious - funny and fun, especially when she is on one of her rants.
She's great at teaching, but can be pretty mean sometimes, she's alright though.
If you ask for help, she gets mad at you and says you shoulda listened! =P And she's SO unclear with her instructions... like, she just says them outloud she duznt give out a sheet for like a project or nething. =S
Wonderful women! Wonderful History teacher...puts soul into her class ;)
Discussion topics are amazing, but she's the only one who gets to discuss.
Wonderful when she's in a good mood, terrifying when she's in a bad mood.
