He taught me many years ago and really encouraged my artistic potential and taught me a lot. I wasn't the most popular kid in high school but in his class I felt very confident and good. He is easy to talk to and befriends his students. I learned a lot from him and I still remember him from time to time.
Mr. Young is THE best art teacher I have ever had. Taught me a lot about art and was always helpful, suggesting ways I could improve. He knew his stuff. He was fun to talk to, as well. He really does not like those who aren't ready to try new styles or care about art, though, and so many people didn't like him. I enjoyed Grade 11 Art more than any other course I've taken in high school. I'm going to miss him, now that he's retired.
He's very serious, and if you are smart and make jokes he will like you. But make intelligent jokes, and don't fool around too much. As long as you use your time wisely he won't bother you too much. H
AMMMGGGG BEST TEACHER EVVAAAAARRRRRR!!!!! HES LIKE SO TOTTALLY FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO MIX PAINT TO MAKE ALL SORTS OF DIFFERENT COLOURS! ITS TOTALLY SIIICCCKK AND A GREAT LIFE SKILLLLL
Unlike what everyone says on this, he is the best art teacher ive ever had and i have learned so much because he is so in love with art. He has a very dry sense of humour that people sometimes dontget
In grade 9 he wasn't the greatest but he teaches grade 11 art very well
You know, ppl either hate him or like him.. I mean he does have a bit of an attitude problem sometimes.. he's somewhat intimidating with us, but I've learned and skilled in that art class!
Mr.Young is an amazing art teacher. If you aren't that great at art @ the beginning of the semester, you sure will be by the end. Very stern, and if your just taking there to fool around, he knows it.
Opinionated, intimidating guy who prefers teaching students with artistic potential. On the flip side he has a brilliant sense of humour and is very insightful. He makes you work for your marks.
Picks favourites. The ones he doesn't like have a tough time. A little lacking in respect for students..but a decent art teacher.
One of the three worst teachers I ever had. I am a teacher now, and will always remember how he treated me...so I never treat a student with such little respect.
Had him for grade 12 English - what a waste of time. Wanna-be academic. Power trips over students. Pompus, over-inflated sense of importance. Critic with no contibution of his own.
he is rude, and picks favourites, he thinks way too highly of him self and does not have enough respect for people.
One of the most fantastic people I have ever had the fortune to meet. Makes art history more interesting than it's ever been. Articulate, passionate, and engagi
Its english not art. Makes english seems like some form of extreme abstract arts. Makes it VERY tough to do simple stuff.
He was a great teacher unless you purposely annoyed him. He always gave me helpful tips on my artwork. VERY COOL!!
My attention was constantly wandering as most English discussions led back in some form to his love of art.
A great, if not a little eccentric, individual. Great teacher.
A brilliant mind trapped in a limiting institution (BHS). Be free! Share your coolness with the world!
*clap* *dance* *Clap* *DANCE* Had him every year of high school. English was amazing. Thanks for Hamlet. Art rocks!
good teacher, makes you think about the art, you know?
i've never been called a 'capable art student' before :-)
