Mrs.Ellis is a cool teacher. She's pretty funny and she's smart and interesting. She taught me Media Arts and she never really taught us long lessons or anything, she usually just put them up on the internet and we had to read them ourselves. She taught us a lot of basics and then let us figure out the rest. I liked that. But she has a lot of high expectations, especially when it comes to student creativity. She was also mean sometimes.
My first art teacher in Grade 9. I've had her three times now, and I never get bored in her class. She can be strict sometimes, but she wants to see everyone's potential come to fruition. She pushes me to my creative limits, and it really helps. I can't tell you how many art pieces I've restarted from scratch, only to have them turn out better than the originals. If she criticises you, then listen. That means she knows you have the potential to make something better.
She's okay if you understand her humor and get stuff done
She's hilarious if you share her humor, batshit insane if you don't, but she's still a good teacher. If you're a bad student, you won't like her but that's your choice.
I'find Ms Ellis extrememly helpful and friendly, cause I'm no trouble in class. All I have to do is my work. Other people whpo do alot of complaining are the slackers/abusers....site not good teachers
I think the best way to put this is that she's both a blessing and a curse. She's almost like a walking time bomb, you never know what's going to set her off. It made classes with her uncomfortable.
Mrs. Ellis is a great teacher... she's a laugh and a half all the time... she'll help you with anyhthing you want... and if your ever in her class use alot of yellow and blue together
Disappointed. I had higher expectations after hearing so many good reviews about her class. The course was ok, but she definately has favorites, even if you do good work in class.
