I had read reviews and wanted to drop his class. However I decided to give him a try and go to the first class. It was fine. Everything on the exam was things we had seen in class. There's also team discussions every class which allows you to talk to new people and make friends. I don't really know if I learned anything about geography but I passed the class with a grade way above average and im happy.

Had him for intro to geo and all in all was just a weird class. This guy is really passionate about food and all his lectures result in him making geographical connections to food. Every class he makes you discuss in front of the whole class and just ends up contradicting everything you say to prove his point. Didn't learn much to be honest.

I had this teacher last semester and I a hard time in his class. It was hard and no one participates. His notes are complicated sometimes and uses stupid explainations, such as "stands of spaghetti" or something like that. I failed the class because I lost motivation in his class. I also went during his office hours for help and he wasnt that helpful when it comes for the research assignment.

Wouldnt recommend him. If you must take the class try to take it with a friend. Easy class though if you do all the work.

Richard is the worse teacher I have ever had. We recently had a teacher called Luna replace him while he was away and she was SO helpful and clear compared to him. Honestly he over complicates everything so that he can seem smarter to everyone, when in reality I doubt he knows much. I contemplate jumping out the class window every time I have his class and need to listen to his nonsense completely irrelevant to geography that somehow ends up on the exam. Do not take him.

I really recommend you not take this teacher. Weather and climate is the worst class he is very boring and it is honestly hard to stay awake during the class. His exams have multiple choice questions and essay questions but he will ask you questions on the littlest, unimportant things in the book. just don't take him you won't regret it

I took him for weather and climate, he's a good teacher. He is very knowledgeable about his course material. However, if you're a shy student, I'd recommend you not to take him because he does require class participation and asks you to work in groups every class.

It's odd to describe his class, he doesn't like it if you skip though. If he asks you questions frequently during class presentations, it means he likes you. As for the course material in my geography class, he is not that great at explaining material but most tests are multiple choice though. The assignments are easy and where you need to get your marks. I didn't try much and I got 81
