Honestly, this class is such a GPA booster. You do not necessarily have to be fluent in Mandarin to get high 90's. Finish the work on time, prepare for tests, and try. She cares about effort and I do admit she has a tendency to forget and lose homework. But bear in mind that she is old and a teacher, at least respect her even if she makes mistakes.
She is definitely forgetful and can get you really frustrated (sometimes due to her hearing problems, but also because she doesn't listen to you or your reasons until repeated many times). However, she's really kind hearted and will try to help as much as she can. She does tend to pick on students that are weak at mandarin a lot more, she's more lenient towards mandarin speakers. Definitely deserves some respect.
Can be a bit rude and harsh towards students at times and can be very forgetful and unorganized, but otherwise an OK teacher who deserves some respect.
Honestly I find people view her too harshly. Yes I agree she is forgetful, disorganized, and a bit nuts, but she is actually a pretty nice person. She is the teacher afterall, so I really hope that people can at least show some respect towards her.
Overall, she is fine, but she can be pretty forgetful sometimes. For example, sometimes if you already hand in your homework, but somehow she lost it, she will say she never received it and give you no mark. To be honest, I prefer the current TOC Ms.Shaui a lot better than her.
SHE'S AN OK TEACHER, AND HELPS ME QUITE A LOT. SUPER BIASED THOUGH. PICKS ON CERTAIN STUDENTS. VERY EASY TO GET AN A.
she loses student's homework and tests and then blame the student for not doing it, she is overall a nice person but a terrible teacher
Shes a really good teacher, sure she like to make fun of ppl but dont we all? really easy to get an A though
Always find ways to embarrass you in front of whole class.I'm sure she could get sued for a zillion things she did in class.bad but least worst for Mand at RHS.
she reads out people's marks and loves to embarass her own students.
makes students teach each other, but the teacher does nothing
