During my 4 years at Western, only 2 teachers knew how to teach properly and get me interested in their previously "boring" stuff: Ms. Lozinsky in HISTORY and Mr. Halek in MATH. Somehow they both knew how to break things down to make them interesting and easy to understand. Both very caring and helpful and sensitive to my needs for encouragement. Definitely the best two teachers at Western! Try them if you find HISTORY or MATH difficult or boring.
Like the last writer, I also got caught cheating on my projects and was so angry that I posted a lousy comment and asked my friends to do the same. But looking back a few years later, I am sure he was one of my best teachers ever because he did not care about ratings or popularity, like the others, but tried to get us ready for the real world. I feel I am quite successful now because he taught me not to cheat when I can work things on my own. With gratitude and very sincerely, I wish him only the best !!!
Pretty good teacher, but the curriculum was bad for the computer engineering course he taught us, so most of the time we didn't do anything.
Mr.Halek is the best MATH teacher ever. For the first time I am not afraid of MATH and actually understand everything he explains. Hope to have him again for MA
I used to hate him for making me study so hard. After 2years of college he is the greatest in my book.
Demanding, but very fair. Impatient with all the jerks who do not study and expect him to explain everything 100 times-again and again!
Do not try so hard to motivate lazy/stupid students who ask stupid questions all the time and do not even listen to the answers. Kick them out or fail them !!!!
Halek is the man, and i'll words with anyone who says different
Mr. Halek tries to hard to be funny which he'll never be. He can't teach for S_I_! he is a really bad teacher!
