I think he knows what he's doing, it's just that he isn't the best at teaching it. Not as useless as Tang but some day he doesn't do much. Moves at a pretty slow pace. Partner quizzes are ez. If you sit on the left side of the room he usually won't call on you. If you're in his class for 10E you're wasting your time. also you're only allowed to eat carrots and apples in class (?)
I had him for 2 years and I didn't regret it
Heres my advice to anyone taking his class. Sit at the back of the class, get on his good side as early as possible. In ways such as raising your hand to answer questions and volunteer for the first week.**SIT BESIDE SOMEONE SMART**There are partner quizesOften than not, he picks on the girls to answer questions, the front row, or people who are struggling in the class. His tests are very easy, just don't miss a class or else you'll go behind. There are partner quizzes which are just free marks.
**STUDENTS GOING INTO GRADE 12** Take his semester math class you will not regret it. Math twelve is much harder than math eleven and Mr. C is the easiest math teacher in the department. There are only four math twelve teachers. Kobi = hardest, Peterson = second hardest, Mr. C = not easiest(I'm only at 93) but still pretty chill and the new guy Mr. Nhat who is ridiculously easy(everybody has over 90). I still suggest Mr. C because you learn with him and you will also get Calculus credit.
Mr. C is probably the most knowledgeable teacher in the dept. and that's always a great quality to have in a math teacher. His explanations, though sometimes a bit quick-paced, are clear and are always the easiest and simplest way to do things. Tests are usually MC with some written and quizzes are almost always partner MC. The one downside is that he tends to get annoyed if you offer wrong answers in class too much- shouldn't teachers like students who try to answer in class and put in effort?
Had him last year, still go for math help from time to time. Smart guy.
Fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable. His accent isn't even that bad. If you're smart and get 90+% he won't even bother checking your homework, just do your work and get on his good side by answering questions early on and you'll be fine.
Very interesting guy, funny and engaged, love him but hate the class. Tests are virtually impossible, you think you're fine and turns out you got a 60?
First time in his class I was a bit scared but as time went by, surprisingly, his tests and quizzes were easy! It's mostly on scantron and those partner quizzes though! Even though he as an accent, it makes learning more challenging. He's a really chill teacher and he'll make you guys sing Christmas carols before winter break. Remember to do your homework and review before the test. If you can do that the you'll fly by this course. It's as easy as eating donuts!?
Excellent teacher. He goes over each lessons slowly with examples, so it's not hard to understand. Tests and quizzes are often based on the homework, so as long you study and do your homework, you'll do fine. Math may not be the most interesting course, but if you try not to doze off or skip too much, you can't fail. Ask him questions-- he's very helpful. Don't come into this class without a good work ethic and willingness to learn if you want to succeed.
One of the best math teachers that I know, he is explaining examples pretty well
He's a really relaxed teacher. I have him for Pre Calc 11 and I sit in the back. He doesnt really mind what you do as long as you do your homework and do well on the tests. I love how he has partner quizzes and bonus tests. Even though I didn't do so well on some tests, the bonus test helped a lot since it gave me motivation to look back at what i didnt understand before and learn from my mistakes. He's really nice too. He also doesnt seem to notice if you sneak out early.
He can be strict to those that don't do his work/study/get bad marks but it's the person's fault. Thanks to him, I passed Math cause all of his tests and quizzes were on scantron! Thanks Mr C!
i love mr. C ! he does a bit of an accent, but he is soo funny. i didn't get very good grades in his class, but that was because I didn't study. overall he's a great teacher, super nice and teaches us lots about math
Mr. C was awesome. The quizzes in partners were awesome. But once he made everyone take a mandatory re-test in where the worst of the two tests results was taken. Other than that he was quite entertaining
Really cool teacher, very calm and very patient. Is willing to teach only if you are willing to learn. Very funny guy with a very funny accent
nice guy, can keep math interesting. He can teach......to a degree.
Has a strong accent, but very patient. Knows quite a lot about math.
Though his classes are quite boring, he is really willing to help. His tests (math 12) are quite hard
relatively hard tests(scored on one over 100% though) , working with workbook a bit boring overall good quality
Cool person but I find it real hard to learn in his classroom
He is such a nice person. Totally cannot teach! But if you are willing to learn, he's pretty patient. Do the homework, read the book, and ask questions and you'll be okay. Oh, I never listened in class cus he just confuses me even more (math12), I use that time to do homework and ask questions:P
i heard he was nice... but omg... so disappointing... i would've wanted wong more than him... Mr. C does not know how to teach...
Accent is not too bad! you can still understand him easily. Nice guy and helps you with any questions. Just do all the homework or you're screwed.
... just remember he always says "guy--sh--uh" and " if you don't do your homework, then you are in big trouble"... He s a nice math teacher~~
He's a cool teacher but his tests sometimes are harder than whatever he teaches. lets all "dettttermine" the value of x. haha
ahahaha if u get mr.C ask him to explain about "factorials"... is that really wut he's saying???
Ok, I couldn't understand what he was trying to say... but he tries really hard to get stuff through. I just ignored him in class, study at home, and ask him questions, it worked well for me^^ He's really nice, and patient. If you can study on your own, then he's an okay teacher~
he tries really hard to teach but no one understands
very very high accent should have a translator in da class lolz
sometimes moves too fast in explaining, liked "math magic" though...
Mr. C...no offence but i cant understand what in the world he's saying sometimes! He gives us 10 minute breaks tho..haha
hmm... dun reallie un wut hez sayin'... hard to understand... he may haf high iq but teachin' skill not gd
lets us do what we want = cool. cept tries to teach but cant. self-expression = terrible. I learned more from looking things up on the net than listening to him
oki.. he's oki i guess... lets us go early all the time.. he has lots of favourite students.. me!.. lol... ya.. but i didn't learn much from him.. tho..
i think mr.c is a great teacher who truely cares about students' feelings....i hav him 2 yrz in a row, very nice teacher....awesome!
Why should i go to class when he's the teacher? he just tells us to read the tutorials online... teach much mr c?NO
haha awesome teacher...can slack like krazi but...gawd i can't understand him like 80% of the time!
can't understand him at all, i used to do good in math, now he just made it boring for me, so wanna get out of him class
easy quiz but hard test! n cant understand a thing he says
Dont really understand wht he's talking about most of the time..but he's a REALLY nice teacher! one of the nicest in the school!!
... we can do anyth while he talks.he doesn't care... kewl..
Nice teacher, easy and kinda funny, but English need serious improvment~~
ssssi.....hey guys! uh...today we're uh.... gonna learn uh....
Whats wrong with this teacher?! Gave projects worse than mine a higher mark!
he's a nice guy, kinda wierd, and hard to understand.
easy class.. just do what he wants.. and you be ooookkkkkk
Nice person. Knowlegeable, but sometimes hard to understand
Yeah, hard to understand him, hope he doesn't read this! Nice teacher though!
Extremely easy, but difficult to understand what he's saying.
