A really funny, smart and helpful teacher!
Mr. O'Conner is fantastic. In my opinion. He taught every thing important and I enjoyed his class. And he never got mad for no reason either.
Although some people may say that he doesn't teach anything, I learned a lot in my class with him. I asked questions and he'd answer them. I took notes and studied them for my exam, so I did well. The
Played favourites too much, not helpful and his jokes were not funny.
He keeps on reviewing concepts too much. The people in his classes which are more advanced are held back.
He's a basically really nice teacher, but he's very slow and doesn't always get concepts right.
very good teacher, maby doesnt count but extreamly fealingful protrayal of music picks favourites but i guess im just lucky he likes me
Well, I had a great mark until summatives, because he did not teach the material very well...he'd always start off with the hardest stuff, and not teach the basics. Really nice guy though.
Many rag on Mr. O cause he's not the greatest conductor or methodical teacher, but he's a wonderfully nice guy who knows his stuff and knows how to teach it (you just have to know to ask).
I hate him. He thinks he's so great but my middle school music teacher was better than him by far. OConnor=extremely boring+favors students (which btw is not me)+gives unfair marks+rambles on forever.
worst music teacher in the world. he cant count. he is always speeding up or slowing down, and then he yells at the band for not staying with him
I hated him, life was misrable because he always pointed me out!!! and the way he teaches is another story... i dont get anything he says. he thinks that everyone in his class knows everything!!! thanks lot for a bad year mr.o
Ugh...he wastes so much time talking about nothing. If you try to talk to him about something (eg the way an ensemble is going, a problem you have with his class) he totally ignores you, or he'll say "oh, yes" like he's listening but nothing ever changes. I'm so glad I dont have to deal with him any more
Mr.O is nice and productive most of the time, but wastes some time talking...
Awesome guy, great teacher, lots of fun. He's one of the few good memories I have of Lisgar. Thanks mr OC.
He's not the worst teacher, but he's very unhelpful. I liked him at the beginning of the year but I ended up hating him.
Although I didn't like the class he was so helpful to me in grade 9. I 100% should have failed the class. I couldnt even read music, but he took pity and gave me a 51% what more could I have asked for! Very cool guy!
Somewhat prejudiced. Lessons are not taught very clearly.
He just can't stop talking. In music class, we usually play 20 minutes on average and talk about random things for the rest of the time. Oh yeah, he totally favours too. The way he gives marks is totally based on who he likes and who he doesn't. Also, hes band practices are sooooooo boring. The same thing over and over again.
sir you taught the same lesson 3 days in a row! anyways not a vwey good teacher very unreasonable when it come to the computer
Sure he's annoying, but if you have a problem with your instrument, or with something you're playing if you ASK him he can really help. He doesn't listen to Junior Jazz tho.
Terrible, terrible teacher!! I had him for Computers (which he knew nothing about!) and band (jerk)
Very cool teach! Thanks for checking out my violin! Always very helpful and fun. Music kept me alive 1st semester :)
Zhongyan!!! Ta Ta Ta Ta!!! Words can't describe how badly he teaches material he obviously knows
Okay, you're a great person, and you obviously enjoy teaching, but try to actually EXPLAIN things;and stop playing favourites please, its very frustarating.
You really helped me improve my playing, thanks mr.o
Right on O'conners. Only reason I passed gr.9 music and band was the fact i was so bad you kicked me out.
Fun teacher, but our class never seemed to get anything real accomplished.
dosen seem to care that im late everyday so s'all good
I love his class: It's a real 'swing' on music, rather than conventional teaching
Maybe you should tell us what triads are before complex jazz chords
