You need to use your brain in his classes. It was difficult, but it pushed me to work at my best. He's a very logical marker. He knows if you tried on something. He will always give advice for improving. I learned how to write effectively and one of the most important things I learned was how to detect bias etc. 2 years later, when reading news articles or something, I still ask myself: Is this bias? Is it covering up something else? He cares for learning.
Mr, McKenna is an excellent teacher. He really prepares students for university, while promoting personal accountability and good study habits. His classes are not easy, but is he fair.
I had him in grade 10 history and thought he was fantastic. You just have to put in hard work, & actually think. He prepares you really well for upper year courses/university. Great for reality checks!
He is a hard marker, often doesn't give you the info you need to pass his tests, is unclear about what he wants in work, and is often rude to students he clearly doesn't like. He should just retire.
mr. mckenna is great...you ppl stop whining, so he is a hard marker and is strict, but thats the more better for learning instead of goofing off. history is important, and he teaches very well so we can learn easier. esp. the help with the essays, he practically does them for you!!!
Although he has a bad rep. Mr McKenna is actually an amazing teacher. He is very informative and is dedicated in helping his students learn and prepare for their futures. He has no favourites, only pushes the less skilled students to reach their potential. His classes are amazing if you are willing to take them seriously.
He's a great teacher, prepares you for university, just do your work & be respectful & there is nothing to be scared about! He's a huge joker, it's just subtle!
Scariest teacher at Pereyma. I asked him a question once, and wished I hadn't. Very strict, hard marker, but you learn so much in his class, that it makes up for all the hell you go through.
hes pretty good..not many people like him..but i learned alot in his class last year
cares a great deal about what he does. Is very hard and expects a lot out of his studnets, but is willing to help them if they are willing to put in the effort
Not many people like him, but he IS trying to teach. You really gotta listen...
