Mr MacInnis has a unique teaching style. At first, you'd be intimidated by him and his teaching methods as he places a lot of expectations on you. But soon he'll ease up and you'll actually be able to learn several aspects of literature with him. It's pretty difficult to try to understand him, as he doesn't stick to a fixed lesson plan. But this is also beneficial as he'll go straight down to deep discussions in class.
PS he makes strained faces when you present, but that's cause he's thinking
his a greight english taecher!!! He awusome very much he thought me well
This dude is a real gem. Everyone in my class was afraid to talk to him so I was the one who challenged him and had conversations with him. Orwell rules are drilled into you, he just chills with earbuds, but if you ask him a question you will have an intelligent conversation usually philosophy related and it will help you grow as a student. Really people do not like him very much, but he is jokes and helps you with university habit formation.
Doesn't teach, easy marker
They let you teach English!? Just kidding! From your former student with ties to CB.
The guy is funny, I'll admit that but when it comes to teaching...horrible! He doesn't explain anything! No one ever knows what he wants/expects from them. I now hate philosophy!
My class read the Great Gatsby and i'll never forget what he said he would do if he was around at that time: he would steal the giant ham and run off with it while everyone danced.
My sister says his style will matter most at University. He knows his stuff, but often seems tempermental. He was helpful when I asked. So he is ok in my books.
Hate his teaching style, cann be unfair, but is funny and in some ways caring. Very spontaneous. You like him one minute and hate him the next. Few assignments do well on everythin
MacInnis is one of my favourite teachers. He is very funny and clever. One has to get used to his teaching style though, and not all appreciate his style.
What is wrong with this guy? I wonder if everything is ok with him. Sometimes I just feel sorry for him.
obcesses over shark week! terrified about sharks which is kinda freaky. needs to go scuba diving with sharks.
just shut-up and listen to his stories...you will make good use of them in university
he is a good teacher, who expects a high performance from his students + he like to talk about trailer park boys
Good Teacher! He knows his Shakespeare, only one who can teach it good, although I Hate Shakespeare. But yea, he knows a lot.
Moody. Intelligent. In the end I look back and can say well worth it taking his class. Just be patient and try and keep up with him. Drinks at the Triangle.
he's kinda strange, but after a year of Uni his advice and methods have been most helpful. Try him, just don't get on his badside.
hes the best english teacher i ever had, ppl jus complain cuz they bad at english and cant get a good mark in his class, he taught good writing style and is fun
He's not that bad once you get used to him. He's funny though...
I have been in his class, yes he uses us like servants but he also knows wut he is talkin about, and yeah he talks about his boring life but he is funny 2
He is a good teacher and people need to just shut up and listen to him because behind every conversation within class he has a purpose plus his jokes are decent
Doesnt teach very much, mostly talks bout his own boring life.
gotta work on the temper! good teacher he knows his stuff!
say what u want, but he knows what he's talking about...listen to him!!
He talks like the dude from scrubs!! hes a lil scary!!
Very misunderstood, Brilliant writer, but needs to work on his teaching skills
