I dropped the class as well. Same reasons as the other student. It was NOT what I thought it would be. The Aero part, well, it is NON existent. That is unless you call getting a few handouts on the subject....teaching. On good thing, learned how to change car breaks from doing it there. :) It is a good part Shop class..with a sprinkle of aviation.
To everyone that is thinking of taken the Aviation class. Do so only if you like tech side of it. It is more of a mix of Auto Shop/aircraft mechanic then anything. I agree with many on here, it needs to be overhauled.
I did it for a year, then transferred out. In short, got tired working with sheet metal, occasionally working on cars. Sampson is not really to bad of a teacher, but he is........ok.
He is a nice teacher in Automotive. However, Ancasters new Aviation Special major program needs some help. I do not blame Sampson 100%.
It should be called Aviation AMT (Aircraft maintenance technician) If you want to be a pilot, this is NOT it!
Best Auto teacher out there. Show him respect and you will get it back. One of the best teachers I had in High School
Great teacher. Learned tons, and it was fun as hell! If you know what your doing and work hard, you'll get rewarded! Can't complain with the highest mark. Highly recomended.
Goes out of his way to be positive and very helpful. Thanks for asking about what job I want in the future and helping me get the contacts.
Either you like him or hate him but he will never leave you stranded
