I graduated in 2013, and I know he doesn't work at Clayton anymore, but he helped me more than any teacher ever did. I was in his psychology class and while I had basically given up on all subjects aside from at that point, he inspired me to pursue it and what he said has stuck with me for years. I'd never felt more cared about by a teacher and I appreciate him for that.
Some students are put off by his sense of humor. He has a bit of a lack of personal space. But I found him to be one of the best teachers at Clayton. He does have a blunt personality but I found him funny and he knows his stuff. Tests aren't terrible although there may be a few questions that you feel weren't covered in class. Gives quizzes semi regularly. Homework can make or break your grade- just do it! HE TAKES MARKS OFF LATE HOMEWORK!!! Some of the assignments were interesting, some meh.
Definitely plays favourites, he hated me because I messed up on one project. Sense of humour can be good, or really offensive. Calls himself God. yeah, right.... get over yourself.
Gah, he was mean to me for no reason. Class was easy, though..
Blue Eyes, I had you in 95/96, and again in 99/00, and you said at the grad ceremony you'd never forget me. I haven't forgotten you - and I'm in university now! Just wanted to say thanks for believing
Probably the best teacher i've had yet! Always making the class laugh, he's an all around nice guy and teaches very well!
he's sweet i dont care what anyone says. so fun to argue with and bother hes really funny. his sense of humour is hilarious. best ss teacher ever.
fun good socials teacher. liked that class it was good and good teacher too
Greatest dude ever to teach SS, likes students who argue with him, and beleive me i did. Also, dont write down random letters and words on his darn cross words he checked mine every dang time.
Definately plays favourites. Try and be assertive - voice your opinions, argue with him. He respects it... and it makes the class more fun.
Great teacher. Funny at times, but actually teaches class too. Offers up plenty of bonus marks so if you get him I suggest you take everyone of them.
best SS teacher ever. Its fun and you still learn stuff. great class discussions. i had an awesome time in his class. -mp
funny guy, sometimes bitter. it was hard for him to catch our attention most of the time. easy to manipulate, at least for our grad class
She's a great teacher!!! lots of work but still a GREAT teacher!
I had so much fun learning about geography and law in socials 11 at the table of learning and knowledge!
Mr. Mcl is a great teacher...even though he has his favorites, as long as you are one of those few, you're okay!
Iv never actually had her as a teacher but just off other peoples opinions I hope to be in you history class next year!
Privilege to have Mr. McLaughlin as a teacher, keeps students on task. I learned lots as he made Socials an enjoyable topic and I liked the class discussions.
You're so much fun! and socials isn't boringfor me anymore
She brought our class over to her house the day before the history provincial, she does everything she can for her class
LOTS of work, Butgives lots of time to do it, and is very fair with everyone. Civ class was a great class..WE ROCKED DOOR DECORATING CONTEST THE CASTLE YAHH
shes a nice teacher, but gives lots of work. doesn't ever get mad at you, jokes on occasion, and doesn't like girls putting makeup in class.
