Had english with her way back in 1993. She was never there, always had a substitute. She was always away at conferences.
Although this was a tough class that I did not enjoy much at the time, looking back I can solely thank her for being great at spelling and grammer!
After recounting her style to my professors in the education program I am currently enrolled in, they all express their disbelief that I still want to be a teacher after such a bad experience with her
Worst English experience ever - took a subject I really enjoyed and ruined it, to this day I still recount the trite assignments and painful teaching style. A great example of a terrible example.
One of the most influential teachers in my education. Taught me Can Lit back at CHHS. Excellent. You're not expected to memorize and regurgitate, but present your own thoughts coherently.
Worst teacher I've ever had. Made my favorite class my least favorite. Totally destroyed it.
Agreed she snapped often, but she is an amazing teacher, and I feel like she prepared us for the classes taken in university, probably moreso than the other teachers. Thanks Ms. Tynes!
i read one of her poems in my grade 11 english class, and it was amazing. I was very touched by it.
Ms. Tynes, Because of you, I got through first year university english, you prepared us well. Can't thank you enough!
Ms. Tynes was one of the better teacher at Auburn, she actually prepares you for university, which is more than I can say for some other teachers. Thanks Ms. Tynes!
terrible.. made no sense at all. Don't go to class or you will flip out at her stupidity. Really easy marker though.
CLARITY CLARITY CLARITY! It wasnt too bad a class, but beware! she has certian students she ALWAYS pick on, I was one of 'em
