Had him philosophy. One of the classes I remember the best. He really challenged the students to think more deeply, but still was nice enough to give my papers full credit when I turned them late.
Mr.Coverly wants his students to read the textbook, while he is doing whatever he wants on the computer, and he has no respect for the students, he is away a lot of the time, he barely teaches and he is very lazy.
He's there at the most 4 out of 5 days a week, his classes will go off topic constantly and we end up waiting a week for a continuation of a lesson and he dismisses any disagreements his students have with his opinions. A third of the class has bailed and I wish I had too.
He sits at his desk every period he doesnt stand up to teach, he doesnt even use the board. All he does is give paper and make us watch videos online of other people teaching English. And he expects us to write a proper "debate, sentence, paragraphs" . Now obviously my grammar sux since for the whole first term we didnt learn a single thing from him, and if we did its mostlikely from the crappy videos teaching us stuff and even from that we have to rewatch most of it at home by ourself.
He is crazy. But for a class like philosophy thats perfect. I loved his class, it was the best i had in all my time in tech. He also students to speak. His test are logical, no multi choice. Whatever he says stays in my head the first time some how. He lives what he teaches and isnt bias when he does teach. No textbook
Coverly was a very informing teacher, which I learned a lot from. He is a teacher that really got me thinking about everyday things. However, sometimes his accusations are way off in my opinion and he can be very naive when you raise a good argument. In some cases, he has told us that we are brainwashed.
Had him for grade 12 English over the summer. Learned a lot. He has a unique and effective way of teaching. I don't know how but he only has to explain/mention something once and it just stays in my head.
he is the best teacher at central tech (coming from a student who has studied at tech for 8 darn yrs)
Philosophy gr12. Great teacher, not bad band either. One of the few teachers that teaches in this school
He used to be a good teacher but he don't care anymore, the supply teachers are there more than him
I think Coverly is the perfect teacher for Social Studies, you have to have the desire to learn and understand in order to like the class though. It might be that I also empathize for how he is... lol
He's an incredible teacher, he makes his classes super interesting. He's one of the few teachers willing to teach us about the real world.
He is the reason i love philosophy! amazing teacher... very clear, patient, the nicest teacher EVER!
Cool teacher.Unfortunately didnt have him for philosophy.bt for civics..which he treated like a philosophy class anyways..ahhaha
He doesn't teach from a textbook, so the class feels more personalized. He always has a pleasant attitude. He doesn't get the recpect that he deserves here at Central Tech.
hes the best teacher ever... i've learned so much! thank you
Teacher and musician, the combination could not get any better. I've never heard his music but if it's like his teaching it's great
he is a good man i must say. VERY EXCELLENCT YOUNG TEACHER.
Mr. Coverly is the ONLY worthwhile philosophy teacher in the school. If you're taking philosophy next year and he's not on your timetable - change your courses
This guy is a joke and a half! One of my favorite teachers, he's definately one of a kind. Best wishes with Ms. Novak sir! *wink wink*
My favourite teacher; he's never mean, and gives help when needed.
