Even though I left Burnaby North in the middle of this year, I still remember Ms. Bernabei as an interesting and fun teacher. In my Science 9 Enriched class she would often praise my scientific abilities as exemplified in my Science Fair project, a key stepping stone in my exploration of the world. yea so thats bout it lol
Likes to boast about her past experiences and very strict about classroom rules (no food, be on time, etc). Marks fairly and doesn’t mind if things are handed in late. Her tests aren’t super hard but sometimes very long(she once made us write a fourteen paged test). Self studying is crucial in order to pass her classes.
Had Science 9 with her. Keep her on topic and you should be fine (TALKS ABOUT NEPAL WAY TOO MUCH). Prepare yourself for self-studying a lot of the material.
Did not prepare us for the last few chapters, lessons were extremely rushed.
She's fun, looks a bit like a hipster. Kind of "in your face" about her knowledge but she is knowledgeable so it's fine.
I had Ms. Bernabei for both physics 11 and 12. Her physics 12 class was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken, but also the most rewarding. She will teach in a fashion that will prepare you for post secondary physics. She is very passionate about what she teaches and having her students succeed. If you can excel in this class, you will have no problem with post secondary physics. Go to all the classes, do all the homework, and you will be fine.
Had her for physics 12. Basically it was because of retest and assignments that helped me survive. She may be knowledgeable, but she can't express it well and often goes off in a tangent in class. Tests are long and self studying is needed to do well
for the people who thinks shes a bad teacher, shes not. she knows the material really well and her notes are crystal clear. assignments are easy, with no strict deadlines. you can correct them to get a higher mark, and when your test mark is bad,the assignment mark brings it up. lessons are emphasized on the most important points, and the format of her worksheets are almost the same as her tests. shes pretty interesting and her class is relaxing.
she is an an awesome teacher, takes things in late, usually all the projects are spaced out
She piles homework but you can do it at your own pace
A moderately good teacher. Her tests are long, and you'll have quite a few time constraints with her tests. Her projects are major and some social studies will be involved, sadly.
shes pretty easy. doesnt ever take off late marks. we always slacked off and i got a B. Just study for tests and do all the labs.
she gives a lot of hw, but doesnt take off marks if its late. she gets really mad if you're late, so make sure you arrive on time.
Make sure you do your homework and try to keep her on topic. You should be allright
Don't get on her bad side, make sure you do all the homework she assigns (they pile up very easily) and don't ask her questions that you know would get her off topic.
She's a good teacher, but i don't really like the student teacher she has rite now! I really hate that student teacher I wish Ms. Bernabi will teach instead of the student teacher.
ok talks to much though and needs to get the point across plus she always goes off topic
shes very nice, but gives out alot of homework. and gets really mad if your late. knows what shes talking about though
She knows her stuff..not great at getting it across..but she loved me and my friends :)
she is hard... and she has this THING about classroom rules and being on time... but if you love and is good at math + physics, she is a good teacher to have...
