I had him for reach ahead last year, and he's by far the worst teacher in the board. Despite knowing what i was doing wrong, he refused to show me, despite me not understanding the textbook. I ended up dropping out because he tended to fly off the handle and often ranted about opinions. Never again.
the worst teacher i've ever had. he told me that i will never pass his class because i rarely shown up to class but i was a master at the flute. i do not recommend this awful teacher.
He can have his best days but he also have his worst days
Mark soderlind was a very intense teacher he talked about how you will never go to Cuba because your poor and he's sweet because he's rite sick at guitar and he really is the best in the world he's super sick and teaches you how to use the simplistic things about the iPad like double clicking to close background apps. -Jc
I was in reach ahead but i had to drop out because he was just to rude. I couldn't really learn anything because he wouldn't help me.
Sod is a great music teacher, he taught me how to play guitar. He has his moments, and yes he has an major attitude, he needs to take a deep breath and calm down before he takes it out on a student everyday.
Pretty high strung but anyone that wants to learn is ok.
Awful. Loses his temper extremely quickly.Thinks he is a god but he is awful. Gets paid to sit in a room on his computer. When he teaches, it is only about his own self righteous opinions. It would ashame for a teacher like himself to teach for once
Nota nice person. Rude and needs to chill out . Don't take his class if u cannot handle be yelled at for little things or working under pressor
Okay -stupid rating chart doesn't reflect the questions well. In just two performances I have learnt a lot from Sod. Not everything worth having in life comes easy so if ur looking for a free ride..take phys ed! He's extremely helpful! He is one of the most knowledgable people in music that I know, and I have met great musicians across the country. Not strict but rather..disciplined which is to your benefit! Popularity is over rated, but I would choose to share the stage with Sod any day!
He has been my music teacher for 2 years . Just a little rude at times but means well . He has a heart and he also enjoys playing music and texting and playing on his cell phone in class . He has a go
Sodsy has a beauty mullet (at least at heart), but he was a good guitar teacher.
He is teaching me how to play the trombone right now , its great its actually awesome people thinks its boring at Reach Ahead.I dont want to go right after school but when I get there I wanna be there
Got me into music, and that is something I am thoroughly grateful for. And to all you kids who think he's too tough, just learn the instrument. It's not that hard.
awesome teacher, kids that don't want to learn or practice hate him though.
Well, I have to admit that some of his opinions are bizarre (and often forced down students' throats, whether they like it or not). If he could tone down on the anger, he'd be a much better teacher.
If Mark were a good teacher, then people from St.Pat's who have taken Mr. Lee's chamber ensemble would not complain that it's hard, because they'd be prepared.
a good teacher, and i've learned alot from the past 2 years i took that class(im a bassist) and even though he can be a bit crabby, he's still cool.:D:D
He's the best music teacher I've ever had. He may have had to be tough on us sometimes but in the end, we were all much better in music than before his class.
He's an amazing musician and he's touched the lives of most of his students in a positive way. Thanks for the wonderful memories, Sods. You're awesome!
Wasn't very helpful in teaching my instrument, or others for that matter. quite the character if you can survive a year or two
great musician... never say Dumb it down for Soderlind or it will come back to haunt you right Nicole?
