Mr. Delmage had a definite influence on my decision to become a teacher. He was very witty, had timely humour (such as forgetting to zip up his fly and proceed to stand on a chair for all to see without knowing it), and pushed his students hard to learn Chemistry. I didn't always succeed in his class and it's because I didn't try, but I knew he expected the best out of me.
Delmage, while being extremely knowledgeable and providing excellent lectures, is by far the least approachable person in the school, and is often quite difficult to deal with; losing lab reports that you hand in, forgetting key information (such as the students' names, etc). He even forgot that he did not teach us one section of the unit, and we were surprised to find it on our unit test. He is also an extremely harsh marker, and follows the methodology of "doing it right the first time."
Mr.Delmages's teaching methods profoundly influenced my choices in life, both then and now. My decision to go into the teaching profession was based on his creative influence in his classroom. His consummate modeling of the pleasures of learning and experimenting was infectious and motivated me to find that same pleasure and to attain calculated goals. I feel privileged to have been in his classroom and that in those early years he taught me to have confidence in my own creative thinking.
Great teacher, makes everything clear. A little odd, but it makes his classes all the better
MR DELMAGE IS AWESOME HANDS DOWN! He's so funny and teaches Chemistry really well! Chem is now my favourite class!!
Mr. Delmage is a good teacher. I hate physics but his character and acts really make it that much more enjoyable
sooo smart and sooo organized. I like this teaching style. his craziness makes class funny but his course is hard and if you ask him for help he will gladly give it to you. he's great
I appreciated that he tried to make chemistry interesting, but I really didn't find him too approachable. He's not very professional, nor is he a good scientist. He is genuinely doing his best though
Bad Teacher. Grades tests easy but teaches nothing. He ruined chemistry for me. Rewards 100% exams with cakes which is cool. Tests are the ones that try to trick you. be careful.
this is the funniest teachers ive ever had. scking his hand in the back of his pants when he writes on the board, and spilling water all over himself when he drinks. Such a good teacher though (do your hmwk though)
you are lucky if you get a teacher half as good as mr. delmage
Mr D is superlative - explains effectively the material and dictates detailed notes to ensure that everybody has a useful study reference. A brillaint teacher and wonderful friend.
He's the perfect chem teacher! It's been a decade since I've taken AP chem with him, and it is b/c of him that I'm a chemist today... that says a lot! Will never forget chem club expts on the weekend!
He taught me so much and is probably the most natural teacher I've ever had. Such a gifted man with such enthusiasm!
Mr. Delmage is a good teacher. I enjoyed my term of chem with him, but the thing that he says: ladies and places, take your gentlemen please gets a lil annoying
MR.D is a wicked teacher, man. i mean i dont do super well, but he makes chem a class i really look forward to. Keep on... mixin? things? YAH! lol
An excellent example for other teachers to base their teaching skills on. He makes chemistry more fun, than itd seem, magically :D
Very nice guy. Always there if you need help and is always pumped up every class. I never did that well in his class but still one of the best teachers.
Great teacher but probably inhaled a few too many hydrocarbons in his day. Keep on fuming.
Most enthusiastic teacher I've ever met. He's not as scary as he sometimes seems - it's all fun.
Best teacher I've ever had! Amazing! Explains things well, makes Chemistry fun, I LOVE HIM! and his hero cookies! lol
was alright until this year. if he says youre AP students once more ill scream.
Mr. D LOVES teaching. his great pumpkin story gets him as excited as it does each of his chem classes. his passion for teaching shines through. Excellent!
