I had him for Cal 1. many didn’t like him, but I found that he was a great teacher. Exam questions are almost exactly like in the textbook. Always 5-6 questions, 1 being harder then the others. I would recommend him to students that know how to study. Read the chapters in the textbook and do the problems he assigns and you will pass with great marks. I had a blast in his class!
You can tell he is a very intelligent person. However, he seems to have trouble sharing his knowledge with his students. If you have him as a teacher, you will pretty much need to teach yourself... oh and his exams are basically problems from the textbook so do as many as you can!
He knows a lot about maths but has difficulty explaining it to students. You'll have to learn by yourself by either reading the textbook or through the Internet, which can be time consuming and annoying. All in all, take another teacher if you can.
Very lazy and his classes are really boring. He has no authority and basically reads from the book. Fortunately, his exams are easy, but I learned the material for Linear Algebra all from the book, not his lectures.
I had him for cal 2. I would not really recommend him, though he isn't the worst. Positives include no webwork, easy exams, no final exam/quizzes. He is a pretty funny teacher too.
Negatives include very disorganized classes , weird marking scheme on exams, horrible handwriting and confusing class notes/explanations.
He is a really nice teacher and like to make his classes entertaining! If you can self teach yourself calculus and math is your best subject you should definelty take him as a teacher because you will have amazing grades because his tests are easy and are only 5 questions! Although if you know that you cannot teach yourself calculus you should not take him as a teacher because you wont succeed. Your grade is only based on tests because he doesnt belive in webwork or quizzes!
Really funny. I would always laugh in his class. His exams are easy but the teacher itself is not quite useful. He reads his calculus manual. He knows maybe a bit too much about maths. You have to learn a bit by yourself, but if you are self "sufficient" you will be good. But you might not learn a lot. As soon as I finished his class, I forgot all about calculus and I had a hard time in physics
easiest exams ever!! you can easily have a good mark in his class! only he explains soooooo badly the course that you need to try to understand everything by yourself..attendance not very required but still can be helpful at times. He doesnt really seem to care about the students or about teaching calculus, he always laughs in class, hes a funny man. Anyways if you want to pass a course the easy way take him.
He doesn't explain anything and his notes are unclear so be ready to learn from the textbook. He's still kind of funny. Fortunately, his tests are reallllllllyy easy!
Chambers is a genius who thinks we are geniuses. Most of his explanations aren't clear, but he is very knowledgeable. His test are the easiest thing, but each mark lost is a percent lost on your final
Hilarious! Not an amazing teacher because his mentality is '' get throught the day, no need to understand'' Easy marker. If you're lazy, you''ll love him.
He is THE teacher to take for linear algebra. We finished the class for good 1 1/2 weeks before end of semester. Tests are easy and straight forward. Class avg is really high. Easy to get 90s or 80s
If you're able to read a textbook and teach yourself math, then definitely TAKE HIM. His exams are EXTREMELY EASY. However he absolutely does not know how to teach. But linear algebra is a fairly easy
THE greatest math teacher you could ever have! amazing teacher who will always laugh at people who cannot understand xD He is a show in himself! his tests are EASY if you simply know the theorems
Zoned out most of the time, I really had the impression he was high. Definitely fun to have (and observe), but should get a second job.
I had him for cal 1, cal 2 and linear algebra. I know him well and don't listen people that say he's bad. HE'S SO GREAT, you'll have a great semester with that funny man.
Not a really great teacher, you need to get the concepts by yourself because he doesn't explain very well. Once you get how he works though, it's fairly easy to understand where he's going on the board. Tests are easy, you just need to understand.
This teacher is very good, the funiest, take the time to talk to him
This man is just a wonderful teacher!! I don't care what other people say, he knows math well and he's fun to be around. Such a smart man!
Had him for cal 1, cal 2, and linear so i know him pretty well. His notes are useless so u don,t need to show up for his classes. Read from the book and you,ll do fine. His tests are super easy!!
Honestly, if you're stuck with him don't even bother going to class, just study out of the book (making sure that you do the right chapters) and you'll do more than fine on his tests.
He is officially the worst teacher I've ever had, if you get him you have to teach yourself the course through the textbook and tutors, do wtv u can not to get him.
He's not a teacher but a lawyer who wants extra pay. Get a tutor, read the textbook & CD or else you'll fail. Notes are useless but there are only 4 tests and they decrease in difficulty!
Had him for Cal II, fell asleep during the first test. He doesn't teach. He's just there to get paid.
Chambers is so GANSTA! He doesnt mean to be, but hes the funniest teacher i have. Dont sit in the front rows if you dont want him to stop and stare at you. The good part is that he dances while writting on the board! LOLLOLOLOL
Strange teacher, but he is funny. Must concentrate hard to get anything out of lecture. Just make sure to read text. He's not THAT bad, but still pretty bad.lol
LOL!! This teacher is HILARIOUS! He's a pretty bad teacher, but what the heck.. Just read your text book is clearly explained... Your not paying 140$ for nothin
have fun trying to find a way to learn with this teacher
This teacher is horrible.. He is so bad that your better off skipping his lectures and getting a tutor. Don't ask him questions as he will not answer them. :(
most teacher encourage students to participate but, he start pickle you when you ask a question.
I think he is a better teacher than most give him credit for. I like that kind of "hand off" teaching approach, although most don't.
I got my highest Champlain math grade with this teaacher. Yet I came out of his Linear Algebra class learning nothing. This hurt years later (in University).
Worst math teacher I have ever had! Don't make yourself stand out in his class because he'll make you a target the whole semester.
I really didn't like his teaching methods and he always seemed to stare at the ceiling or the window for inspiration. He should just stick to being a lawyer.
I got 9* in his cal I class, and I got 9* in cal II with another teacher. For those who didn't like him, b/c you are born with math difficulty. LOL
He's so funny!! If he likes you and sees that you want to learn, you'll have good grades... Learn by yourself and have fun in class...
Should be retired. Graduated in 1994 and people are still saying the same things. He is a dreamer and cannot teach for beans - Probably the worst teacher ever
His tests are super easy if you study from the book. A bit of a dreamer!
He knows his stuff cold! Just listen and learn, nice person go talk to him.
Funny teacher, can't teach. Study on your own you'll ace the tests
