Terrible teacher. Gives notes that could help some but she always goes WAY too fast. All she does is yell, even at people who are just asking questions because they don't understand. Unless you're great at doing math, i'd say you should transfer out immediately if youre ever put into her class.
Shes pretty nice but her style might not suit everyone especially if you struggle in math
I feel like you have to already be good at math when she's your teacher because she teaches a lot of shortcuts. Class is really chill, just don't get on her bad side. She teaches math differently from other teachers. It might take a while to adjust.
Teaches as if the students will be able to understand like her. Basically to sum up her class, if you're smart, she'll favourite you; if you're not, good luck. Here's a tip for her : Consider a student's feelings the next time you say something about them because of their marks.
Her pacing with how she teaches is a bit too fast. However, she is organized and is fairly knowledgeable. Sometimes she pulls out a difficult but pertinent workbook question. Often people cannot solve it so she goes over the solution. Her homework consists of either "do as much as you can in the section" or just some sets of questions. I am slightly off put her hockey pool project that she does, though : finding hockey players and keeping track of their scores for actual test marks.
sooo nice and good at teaching!!1!
She's a great teacher. She has high expectations. Does well in explaining but sometimes goes way too fast. She is open for students who needs help. So if someone does not understand some parts, she is okay with meeting after classes to clarify what they didn't understand. She is also interactive in classes but most of the time , the students are too afraid to ask
If students just do their math, answers homeworks, and try to put more effort in learning, i think her teaching method is just fine.
Speaks extremely fast, impossible to stay on pace with her. If you look away for a split second, you missed the whole lesson, no exaggeration. Poorly made notes that students can't even interpret to study. Flips out and rants about the students who failed tests that involved lessons she didn't even clearly teach. Extremely picky on tests and quizzes; SHE WILL MARK YOU WRONG SOMETIMES EVEN IF THE WORK IS SHOWN WITH THE CORRECT ANSWER. 75% of students in her Pre-Calculus 11 class are failing.
Maggie does want everyone to pass, but it makes it extremely difficult because her tests are always 10 times harder than you think they are, and she always explains things too quickly. She can be nice at times and helpful, but she is always yelling and just being angry in general.
Such a fun teacher! She's such a cool person and her class is always a lot of fun.
But... she's not a very "good" teacher. About 90% of my class doesn't follow her in lessons, as she goes over things WAY to fast and is never patient. She thinks everyone gets math as fast as she does, and when they don't, she gets frustracted when you ask questions or don't understand.
Okay at times but not very clear due to the fact that she goes over things too fast. Clarity is poor due to the fact she goes over things too fast and easiness is okay but then again clarity is a huge factor.
great teacher never gives up on students. makes math fun............................................
Maggie is the only reason i passed math in highschool , i had such trouble and the other teachers would get fed up with me, i went from failing math 8 (without her) to 90% in math 11, she is amazing!
Maggie is a great person but I think she is more suited to be a social studies teacher. She is not hard but just doesn't know how to teach, to put it simply.
Maggie is actually one of the nicest teacher i've had, but she talks too fast in class & has high expectations. do your hwk & ask her to slow down. study for tests (finals) & forget about the quizzes.
Too fast, expect too much, everone scared to speak up: afraid to be made fun of. dropping out may be best answer.
she doesn't explain stuff well at all =[ and her tests are hard! she doesn't even check our homework =_= she goes over stuff WAY too quickly.
Wake up Maggie, math isn't everything. She had bad social sills--> makes fun of people for no reason when their not even in the class.
she expects you to know everything you learnt, so if you dont study you'll do BAD.. but shes way better than Yee and she'll give you the extra % if you're failing
Does not explain math well. She asks people to say, "Thank-you" for increasing their term marks," but then she increases everyone's mark by 4% and thus, eveyone says thank-you.
very nice person, i didnt realize it until now, she was the only teacher that taught in a post secondary fashion, taught responsibility, and now i am prepared for university
really really nice person, she does go over stuff very quickly, but she will more than gladly help you out when you need them!
In Math12. One very helpful advice would be to prepare for classes, stay ahead if you can. She gives a final exam which counts as your final grade. GL!
she's a hard teacher.. but she's one of the best.. she's probably the best teacher at windermere.. i'm glad i had her as a teacher.. she was very clear
She's evolved into both a passionate and compassionate teacher--now. Tough luck if you had her before.
i don't have Maggie, but she's the greatest. she helps me so much through student council. encourages you and gives makes you want to accomplish so much more.;)
opportunities for bonuses galore!! a final that can only improve you!! what more can you ask for?? maybe a slower note-taking rate?? maybe.
Teaches way too fast, doesn't even give us enough time to copy out what she puts up..Plagues everything with her high english expectations...PARAGRAPH questions
Maggy, stop thinking that you are hard. You are just too easy.
An amazing person, but teaches too quickly. Expects everyone to learn as fast/brilliantly as her. Kind for the bonuses + humorous personality.
Really cool, she has nice jokes, helps you a lot and expects a lot back but i think that's kinda fair just gets confusing sometimes
She is always willing to make things clear for us, even if it means working through her lunch breaks and after schools. She encourages her students a lot.I know she is a teacher that would not give up that easily. So I won’t either.I am going to try m
Not easy, and the rate of teaching is often quick paced. Sometimes when in a bad mood, she will create unfairness. Outside of that, she's a good teacher.
she is a good teacher, for the little time i had with her before i got transfered. i just think she has to try not to yell at my friends because they end up telling me that she dosnt care if other ppl get hurt as long as she's ok
It's very hard to understand with her teaching. She goes way too fast.
