I LOVE MME YARAGHI SOOOOOOOOO MUCH. YEAH SHES HARD BUT THATS BECAUSE SHE KNOW WE CAN DO BETTER. SHE PUSHES US SO WHEN IT COMES TO G 11-12 WERE SET!! I HAD HER IN GRADE 8 AND I DISLIKED HER BUT WHEN I LOOK BACK SHE MADE ME PREPARED
SHE IS my least favourite teacher out of all of them. She yells at the class constantly and never gives us a break. She gives way too much homework and very clearly has her favourites. In mt opinion, she is never clear about homework etc.
Mme Yaraghi is my least favourite teacher, she turns everyone off of being in French immersion. She gives an insane amount of homework, every single day after school and weekends I'm stuck in my room doing French homework. She makes fun of everybody if they make a mistake. It's hard to ask her questions because she'll think that you are dumb if you don't know the answer. You have to be so alert in her class because you'll never know when she is going to yell at you. No one in my grade likes her.
Mme. Yaraghi was my grade 8 and 10 french teacher and she did a really good job. she was pretty clear on everything. Only thing I disliked about the class was all the work I spent 95% of my free time I spent doing homework, she says she pushes hard so we can achieve great things but I think she worked us a little too hard. Having to spend my entire weekend doing homework was not fun.........
M Yaraghi's exams are unfair. She yells at the class for not understanding french language verbs, language, nouns, semantics, etc that are not in the curriculum. We received a test that included material that she never taught us in our curriculum! Is that fair?
I would not recommend taking the french immersion program at Handsworth. If you want to learn about french and love the language don't come to Handsworth. I honestly hate french and fail to see the point in taking it because it honestly just bring your GPA down while being a non-academic course.
A wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor! She really only wants what's best for her students and if you work hard, it'll show. My French has seriously improved after following her advice.
Most of these reviews are from grade 8's. You don't realize that once you get into grade 11 and 12 she will become your favourite teacher. She is extremely strict towards grade 8's but it pays off. After two years of the OTHER french teacher and coming back to Yaraghis jokes you will understand. Wait it out and disregard the other reviews if you are in grade 8 because she was my least favourite teacher then and my favourite now so.
It's not an easy class, you have to work. Slackers be warned. She is a bit opinionated but she gives you a different perspective on life. Gr 8 was scary as hell but gr 12 was lots of fun so long as you work hard and being smart helps a ton.
she totally has favourites. i was one. Once, i forgot my homework, and she told all the others that they had detention, but that i was free to go because i usually do my homework anyways.
Mme. Yaraghi m'a beaucoup aider pendant l'ecole secondaire. Elle est fine et intelligente.
as long as shes not talking about Iran (really skewed world picture there) and you keep on her good side, you can work your way into getting and keeping a good mark. BUT get on the wrong side and you are doomed...
I agree about the nonstop talking but what I do is look at the window after a while because whatever she talked about is already made sense in the first few minutes...but she's nice and fair overall
shes way too harsh and expects us to know everything. she is nonstop talking and i doubt she'll ever stop. but i must say, i learnt quite a bit in her class.
if u get on the good side, she will be so nice to u. that u will think that french is fun. u just got to be intelligent.
I think she's pretty good. I actually enjoy some of her stories. Like most people say, get on her good side, and stay there.
she's a very nice teacher but its that she's sometime not very fare, make's me mad, but still very nice
She's hard at first, but once you get on her good side, she's amazing! You have to show effort in order to get respect. I love her.
She definitely asks a lot out of her students, and might seem very demanding. But once you get to know her better, she's actually pretty cool. My French improved dramatically.
She works hard so she expects you to work just as hard. If you try you'll get alot out of it, you'll be really prepared. Frenchies gotta love her.
Mme. Yaraghi is the best! SUCH a good teacher...i'm sure all of you frenchys will agree with me!..you work harder, true, but you get a whole lot more out of it!
GR! she gives us these ridiculusly long writting assingments that she can never finish marking. Tells some that we should accept that others are better
her tests can be really unfair, but sh'es pretty cool
I like her! she's awesome! French was so awesome cus of her! Great discussions in her class, I loved them! XD
A great teacher, very enthusiastic. It's nice being able to speak french half decently after taking her class, you won't find that anywhere else. . . Merci!
Hard tests, but ask her about her trips 2 New York and France...funny stories
She's really hard, but a cool teacher, you learn loads of stuff. Talks a lot tho lol.
her teaching is as good as her fashion sense :)! got to work hard tho!
She expects a lot, so you work harder to meet the expectations. When you get a good grade, it feels so good haha!
i don't have her but i love her cuz she hates mrs wakefield aparently!
I've had enough of this teacher (two years in a row!) She expects too much from students. As well she favours certain students which isn't fair.Has hard tests!
Has a great sense of humour and after a year in her class I felt like I had learned more about the French language than ever before.
Awesome teacher. A little intimidating at first, but she's all heart!
