Prachar is easily one of the most knowledgeable French teachers I ever had, but I have never felt more like dirt while she was teaching me. She clearly knows what she's doing, but she has no patience at all, and she has a habit of insulting students in a half-joking manner that I know at least a few of us took to heart. I actually learned more in her class than I have in previous classes, but on her behaviour alone, I would never recommend her.
Mme Prachar is an amazing woman. She is the most knowledgeable teacher in the entire school and she teaches you every single thing you will ever need to know about french. Her tests on the book can be challenging, but her class is worth it. Don't switch out because you're worried about low marks. Trust.
Such an intelligent women. She really knows how to teach. Don't be intimidated by her, she is a good person. You will learn so much and it's worth it.
ohhhhhh mme prachar! let me tell you, she used to scare me so much! she even made me cry once! but looking back now she is the best teacher i've ever had! appreciate her while you have her! she is a very knowledgable person and you will learn so much from her!
She's really intimidating at first and many people hate her. But as classes pass by, you realize how knowledgable she is. Her class was by far the most challenging, with the craziest projects. In the end everyone does super well on them cause it's impossible to slack off in her class. She is really a sweetheart and is very funny. Gotta give respect to a woman who wrote a dictionary! You'll learn to love her :) Trust me, the hard work will definitely payoff
The most knowledgeable teacher that I have ever had. Great sense of humour, makes you work but for our own benefit. She really taught us well. She has a great heart and only looks out for the best interest of her students. An overall amazing person and teacher!
Honestly, she is a genius. Her class is the most difficult class I have been in, in my life. I mean, a test on the first day of school? Come on. But, I can say that I have learned more in one year in her class then in my highschool career (in french). Honestly, dont be scared of her.. Ask questions, she will like you more.
LOVE HER! i used to be so scared of her. but shes the besttt!!
i dont get how someone who learned french as a 3rd language can be in langue maternelle. and like its our fault that we learned nothing with kanghem
She is a genius....and extremely helpful....i love her! Yes, she's a really hard marker, but I've learned more with her in this first month and a half of school that i have with my gr 7, 8 and 9 french teachers put together! She is extremely smart and explains really well. You just have to study REALLY hard with her, but that's not a bad thing!
An absolute genius. Knows everything about anything. A lot of work, and a bit intimidating, but a good teacher overall, as long as your handwriting is good and you don't talk too much in class :)
good teacher but incredibly hard assignments tests, oh my god. i think she thinks that we are in university or something
Great person, helpful teacher, but has a tendency to mention a project 6 months before announcing its short deadline. Expect a lot if you're in maternelle, expect next to nothing if you aren't.
well, she is horrible to her students, always singling people out and calling them stupid. if you have messy handwriting, good luck! she can't stand most people's handwriting, makes an example of them in front of the class and calls it "patatoide". she has the craziest projects and her tests are death. AVOID GOING INTO ADVANCED FRENCH AT ALL COSTS. if you are in advanced french, and want to leave, you need a signed DOCTOR'S note, detailing that the class is too stressful for you.
She thinks too highly of her classes, so that if they write on the desks or windows she blames it on other classes that were in her room, even if it wasn`t them.
shes a genius at french, gives hard tests, adn expects us to actually know something about the subject. if u make an effort tho, u'll learn a lot , and final exams are SO easy compared to her stuff.
She is TEH AWESOME. Terrifying at first, but as soon as you get to know her, you realize that she is simply the best French teacher you can ever have. You get terribly hard tests, but you learn A LOT.
She knows the language (and many other things) like the back of her hand and because of her generally-hated, excruciatingly difficult assignments, she makes exams a breeze.
Although excellent at colour coordinating, she can be very unclear during class. I didn't learn that much considering the work load. She can cause unnecassary amounts of stress.
Best teacher I have ever had. Yes she can make you cry, but she only wants what is best for you. She is genuinely disappointed if you don't care and she does care. Helped my French improved tenfold.
A great teacher, incredibly well educated in almost all fields. Tight about uniform protocols, she is entertaining and interesting during class. Gets the material through clearly. Scary only at first.
Amazing teacher. With her, you really learn. She forces you to learn. Funny, knowledgeable and reasonable. Fair about marks although she may seem as a hard marker at times. Explains things very well.
She's a fantastic teacher but she really has to stop picking on individual people in class. Some people get very embarassed when she singles them out in front of the class.
I was very confused in her class a lot, but she introduced me to the finer elements of french, like Camut etc and I love that. Always entertaining.
mme prachar is one of the wackiest, most fun teachers i've ever had. she's very helpful and tries her best to be entertaining. she's got a unique sense of humor
Madame Prachar is very kind to her colleagues and the students of Royal West Academy. She is very smart.
Eccentric and funny teacher if you like French. Covered some interesting material the two years I had her. Give her a chance.
You cover interesting material in class but she's not a person you want to be around.... ever.
great teacher! really nice and helpful. (clothes/makeup have NOTHING to do with teaching quality, people!)
you have to work but you learn so much. my fav teacher
Bad teacher. Applies her make-up with a steamroller. Enough with the corsets.
Very hard but an amazing french teacher. Everyone can learn tonnes from her.
