I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. I had Math 30IB with her and math didn't really make any sense to me at all until I was in her class. She is super friendly and helpful! Don't panic during her exams, they are not as hard as everyone says they are. Just do all of your homework and practice. I did incredible on the diploma because of her. I recommend her, especially for Math 30, all the way!
Luba is an amazing educator who is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to learner success.
love this women
Definitely recommend Fenske as a math teacher at MAC. If you have her, VERY LUCKY. She is a legendary.
I've had her for Math 10, 20IB, 30IB and will hopefully have her for Math 31IB next year and I'm telling you, Fenske is a legend and I'm seriously going to try to bring her to uni with me. She is by far the best teacher math teacher in MAC and is probably the nicest and funniest as well. The only way that you'll do bad in her class (or get humiliated) is if you don't routinely complete your homework. 10/10 recommend.
I LOVE MRS. FENSKE. She's a great teacher and is very clear and helpful when you ask her for help. Do your homework, because she knows who does and who doesn't. She comes off tough, but she truly is a nice person and really cares for her students. And yes, getting a 99 is worse than failing an exam to her.
Fenske is an amazing teacher. I was in her class for Math 10 and Math 20 IB, and I am currently looking forward to having her for Math 30 IB. She is extremely helpful when you don't understand a concept and ask her for help. Not only that, but if you can converse with her, she is interesting and a pleasure to talk to. However, her tests are much harder than the other teachers, no doubt. But it prepares you and you learn way more. At first I didn't like her, but now I love her classes!
She goes hard when she teaches, I had her in honors and she goes through everything in 100% maximum detail and difficulty. She seemed to like me and would small talk in the hallways, her exams are harder than any other teacher I've had, but she has covered absolutely everything on it. She is fairly encouraging and has remarks like "You did good" or "You did better than last time, keep up the good work" and such. She does however seem to pick out other students and humiliate them.
If you have her as a teacher, drop out, and if you can't, move schools. It's better to move schools than stay and fail her class. Never gives enough time for quizzes, and her notes do not make any sense. Lectures every time there is free time in the block. Test averages are low, and blames students instead of thinking of ways of how to teach better.
Tests are extremely hard. Nothing like the homework that is assigned. Also you are never given enough class time to complete any examinations or mid unit quizzes.
She is a wonderful lady, very knowledgeable and intelligent regarding math. However, her teaching style may not work with a lot of people. The examples given and used to teach the material during class are very simple and straight forwards, but when the test comes around, the difficulty level increases by a lot, making it seem like you hadn't quite learned the information at all. If you already understand the material or are naturally good at math, you will do well in her class.
Nice lady if you talk to her about anything but math. Somewhat understanding, but that's only if you're doing well in her class which is pretty difficult. Gives notes with nothing but examples of stuff that's very straightforward, but exams are a completely different story. Her post-test lectures are nothing to look forward to either. Maybe she just wasn't the teacher for me, but I was not impressed having her as a teacher.
Excellent notes and explanations, I was very fortunate to have her as my math teacher. Very helpful and approachable; given you do the assigned homework, failing is impossible.
She is an excellent teacher that will teach you everything you'll need to know for each math course, granted you pay attention. She's a helpful teacher that will happily clarify any questions you have
Love her ! Her notes are extremely helpful! And her class isn't hard if you try although her exams can be a little difficult but overall a great teacher and really prepares you well enough for finals
REad her notes and you'll be fine=) exams based off notes and is really easy if you actually put the time in. it's kinda tricky if you don't but that's a given
Mrs Fenske supports her students. She is willing to stay after school to help out. A really great Math teacher.
She's actually decent teacher. Just don't get on her bad side. Her exams are also tricky sometimes...
Mrs. Fenske is the most under-appreciated teacher at MAC. She is always available and willing to help, and her notes are amazing. WAY better than Martin.
Her notes are good at first glance, but the moment you step out of class and look at them, you have no clue what its talking about. She tries to help but ends up just confusing people.
Great person, willing to help but u have 2 b willing to find her in your own time, but shes always available. seriously underrated as a teacher-her tests are fast paced but if u know ur material :)
very good teacher:) her tests are exactly like her notes so as long as you don't slack you can't possibly mac fail
greter teacher. very helpful. made transition to highschool very easy. a bit tougher in IB but perfect for honours, depending on how good you are at math. Doing homework is essential in her class.
Okay math teacher, and a good perosn, but doesnt do good marking.
Great teacher her notes are packed with examples and she gets to school early and stays in her classroom during lunchs to help students out.
She's an awesome teacher. I loove her! Great notes and she explains things so well. Love how she reviews the homework...so teachers don't take the time to do that. Her tests are fair, they are all based on her notes and the homework that she assigned. So be sure to do them and you'll be rocking in her class! :)
Great teacher, has excellent notes and exams are based on the notes. Expects you to do Homework asks if there were any problems at the begining of each class. Try to be in her class
I don't know why some people say she's a bad teacher... I honestly love her!!! Her notes are so detailed and to the point, she provides every possible examples there are for tests and gets you really well prepared. Of course that is as if you do your hw. She is helpful and has a great personality! Treat her nice and with respect and she will treat you the same :)
She's nice.. if you stay on top of her class. Other than that she's intimidating, a lot of my friends are too scared to go to her for math help because if you ended up not getting something with her she would give you this of, 'are you dumb why can't you get this', kind of attitude. She does not monitor homework, so do it or you will fail the class if your not so good at math.
She's not... terrible. She's usually pretty good about re-writes if you completely bomb a test. I found I had a hard time understanding her teaching style for most of the year. Although that could just be the hardness of the curriculum. Or my own stupidity. Anyways... not a bad teacher, just be prepared to have to work hard in her class.
She is a good math teacher if you need to ask queations or get help. Quizs are right from the notes and tests are fair
Very nice teacher, Notes are great, always there to help, tests a little hard though
I had her for math 20 last year and i went from having honors in math the year before to nearly failing. She is a horrible teacher who is very unclear and unreasonable. She rarely gives rewrites and her tests are very difficult. She isn't half the teacher that Harvy Caron is.
errmmm...yeah, like all math teachers iv known so far EXCEPT for cambell, she isnt good teacher. she seems like a nice person but my dislike for her keeps overcoming my like just cuz she is yet another math teacher that doesnt teach math very well
shes such a nice person outside of class....but then when you get to math be prepared for being patronized to no end
I always found it funny how she could never say "failure" when we were doing probability. She always said "fail-err". But yeah, she definitely got annoyed if you asked her to explain something again
In general she is a nice person, but when you don't understand a topic she gets sort of annoyed at you. Her tests have no surprises and after a while you know exactly what to study in order to get A's
She is a very good math teacher... very helpful... very friendly... she knows her stuff.
the woman was able to bring my average from failing to a 91% by the time i graduated without slacking on the teaching part. anyone able to do that in ten months definitely has my respect. her math notes rocked my life too.
you end up focusing on her accent..but overall great teacher but u gotta study ur stuff if u wanna do good!
Easy tests, easy class...requires almost no thinking. Good class if you don't actually feel like working...
Goos teacher, though I'd say WAY too easy. Getting 100% on a unit test hes never been easier, and no homework, well not worth marks!
Mrs. Fenske is amazing! Her class is straight out of the text, so you don't have to over-think her tests. She'll answer even your dumbest questions.
Mrs. Fenske is a great Math teacher! She will do anything to help you, all you have to do is ask! Her test can be difficult but she challenges you!
easily the worst teacher I ever had. "what does this equals to?" ARRGH! I still remember gr12 math, 3 years later. I skipped the last entire month and aced it.
Really good teacher; true she's abit tough, but she forces you to work for your marks *thumbs up*
Got to have patience in her class. Sometime's she gives out hard tests but she's always helpful and is pretty nice.
ya...rock the free world. tests are very hard take at LEAST all class, and ya helpful but its not her fault if we're just naturaly dumb.
