She may know a lot but when it comes to teaching you better be prepared to learn everything by yourself. She doesn't know how to make all the content she teaches more interesting or at least tolerable. She wonders why people do bad on her tests but its honestly because she only knows how to teach a robot, not a human being. Tragic.
the Banjevic is like Einstein! she can show proofs of equations from more than one way, which is a huge help to understand. always try the problems and ask questions when you get stuck, she will take the time to explain.
Best teacher at alex mack
Yikes, haven't had her yet (fingers crossed) but her class seems like they always have tests, the was a fire drill and i swear her class stayed inside the entire time, it was during lunch time and she came into the hallway to shush people bc they were doing another test, I have a class next to hers and she keeps walking into our class and closing our door (even if its just our teacher teaching something) she always leaves her door open though
I hate when people hate on Ms. Banjevic! She is extremely helpful and is the most knowledgeable math teacher at amac. She is strict, but with her, you get results.
rude. knowledgable. extremely rude. good for teaching. bad for teacher-student relationships
Prepares you well for university-level calculus I, and the university teaching style. Try hard, do all the homework, and go to extra help at lunch, and it's possible to get a very high mark in the course. She is very helpful - you just have to ask for help at lunch.
She knows a lot of math......but really that's the only positive thing I can say about her. She wastes half the class with useless diatribes that nobody cares about and then spends the other half putting people down. Her tests are honestly insane and contain things she didn't even teach, and then she acts all surprised when people fail. She also gives out a lot of quizzes and assignments but only puts the ones where everyone did bad on into your mar. Honestly she's a terrible teacher.
I'll admit she knows math but that's the only positive thing I can say about her. Her tests are extremely hard, she has favouritism towards her top students and hates the ones who are failing, cannot explain concepts clearly, constantly puts people on the spot in front of the class to embarss them, and has no patience. The good reviews are most likely done by her "favorites". If you have her switch to a different class! Trust me I wish I did..
Really hard teacher
Her face looks like its decaying
Very knowledgeable. Explains concepts thoroughly, in an easy to understand way. Makes first year university Calc much easier.
The rating system is a tad flawed in terms of rating Ms Banjevic. She is a one of a kind teacher, doesn't rely on the textbook a whole lot but uses it enough. She is a teacher who will w/o a doubt prepare you for uni. A bit tough but it's tough love
She is really a great teacher and I like her so much! She really teaches you something that will help you in the university! I will never forget her and her selfless help to me!
didnt do great in her class but i learned a lot and was prepared for university. if you want to improve, she is always there for you. she likes to joke around and she loves discussions about the world. YOU HAVE GOT TO WORK HARD!!
I did not do very well in her class but LOVED her. She is such a sweetheart. She not only prepares you well for math but prepares you for life. A really inspiring teacher.
She made me like math again, after a previous teacher made me hate it. I know a lot of people say she's strict, but I don't think so.
I learned so much from her. I can see why some people wouldn't do well in her class because she teaches very quickly and doesn't really like going over things several times. But I really liked her and learned a lot in her cla
I think overall as a teacher she is very good... definitely prepares the grade 12 students for university is like... not the best teacher when it comes to explaining
Sometimes mean, always entertaining. Although a bit intimidating at first, you get over it quickly. Her marking is very fair. I gained a much deeper understanding of math thanks to Ms. Banjevic.
This is a hard rating. She is a great caring person, it you care about math, but if you are at all slow she will leave you in the dust. But you can also ask her for help. Everyone will agree that she is too hard.
As much as she was a nice person, she was a terrible math teacher. Her expectations were absurd. I know people who failed her class and are now getting 90s in university math.
I liked her personally, her explanations always threw me off a little too. But she was willing to help and nice about it too.
there's a human side to her, you know? she's usually very very strict but sometimes she'll surprise you by how thoughtful she can be. excellent teacher overall. i hope i get her for calculus
Strict, but an extraordinary teacher! Will GET YOU TO UNIVERSITY. Very cool teacher
Though she's tough, it really helped once I got to university. I found university calculus so easy and got a 90 which was higher than what I got in her class.
I will admit she knows her stuff but SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TEACH. the point of a teacher is to be patient and willing to help...and she wonders why her class does so poorly....
she is awesome.i liked her!! i mean she is tough and mean to ppl that deserve it.get on her good side nd u'll see the great lilian hiding inside!tough but great
you will appreciate her after you come out of her class and truely realize how much you've really learned (not only about math either)...
She is one of the best math teachers i have ever had.she really wants to help you understand and do well.even if that means tha she needs to repeat her self 2X
People don't realize how great Mrs. Banjevic is. She is always willing to help those that will help themselves.
