Had him as my night school teacher for grade 12 English. No reasonable doubt he is an intimidating teacher but I loved him. Very knowledgeable teacher. You do have to pay attention but marks are given where deserved for the most part. One of the best teachers I've had in my whole high school experience.
Some people just aren't meant to teach high schoolers and he is a prime example. He expects a level of maturity in work that even some university students don't have. His ways of teaching are extremely outdated, and its obvious when he's teaching night school that he has favourites and in the end it was reflected in their marks.
HAD him as English teacher in summer school and he's back with day school. He I saw hard marking cause he make a lot od detuction for screwing up the mla format. Use correct mla format to avoid detuction. Very helpful but he give u too much materials. But he is really nice, funny, and really good.
I had this teacher for grade 9 religion, and he literally was the funniest teacher i ever had. love him ! too bad he left xavier
he was an awesome teacher, a fair marker and a really great person. he was easy to talk to and always there to help. its too bad he left fx i miss him
not a good philo teacher. good person tho. not good prep for uni.
He was a great teacher. He was easy to talk to and a great listener! He was one of my best high school teahcers!
medicore, hes smart, but way too much work needs to relax
inspiring! great man! very reasonable, a lot of teachers lack that quality. he reminds me of a giant teddy bear! he is also a man of great integrity and faith. i admire that.
Mr. Lebar is the best teacher in Xavier, followed by Mrs. Heffernan. He is very funny, throws in sarcasm and he knows his stuff very well. He is not an easy marker but he is a great teacher. If you wind up in his class, you will learn religion, politics, psychology etc. In a word: Life-altering.
A lot like PROT. A little strange, a little sarcastic - then...hits you right in the head and heart with all that knowledge and faith - authentic and truly human and responsible for my growth as a being. I have experienced a newfound peace. For the first time I understand my faith. Will be missed.
The most meaningful class that I have ever been in. Thanks Mr. Lebar for opening my eyes to the world.
Mr. Lebar the BEST + 1 of the most memorable teachers in Xavier. The style of his teaching is amazing but his great sense of humour prevails. Not afraid to share his thoughts w/ us
Graduated 2 years ago. Can't get his class out of my mind. Everything I see, hear, observe, always goes back to the "Myth". Third year Med thanks to him. Out
If you want compassion go to church! He's there to teach you and get you ready for University - which he does amazingly! Don't complain about rubrics dope!
grades students based on a rubrick he so conveniently created to classify individuals and gives them marks based on what he thinks they are able to achieve.
If it wasn't for Lebar, i would have dropped philo. Can't stand the course, but he made it enjoyable and fair thanx to the h.w assignments. Sir ur greaat
thank goodness i had him for philo. workload can be overwhelming sometimes, but at least you know how it'll be like in university. rock on, sir!!
All true. Clearly the Alpha and Omega of philosophy. Never laughed so much! Didn't realize how much he taught us till now. OMG.
AMAZING TEACHER! you have to have him, religion class is the best with this man! Creates a great atmosphere for students to learn in.
Did you say Darwin?...he's an APEX teacher...blows philosophy out of the water...sorry if you didn't have him...you lost out!
YEah he's the best.Very good person but also an amazing teacher. You will learn a lot, and will take something from his lessons.
philosophy, taught well, great class, opens your mind, but the answer is always God.
Faith of steel. Captain Catholic. Can't help but be a believer by course end. Love you Sir.
A wonderful person and motivational teacher- a good human being in general
Good teacher for phiolsophy. Knows his stuff, plus easy course work.
The neurosurgeon of sarcasm - gut splitting funny - always with a point.
Big man. Big heart. Big mind. Always makes you think.
Who knew we lived in a cave? The smartest teacher in the school. Thx Sir.
