Found out about what happened from an old highschool friend of mine from a couple years ago and it was just weighing on my mind. I remember I took math with him a couple years ago and i remember really struggling with the class. After class I would ask him for help and he would always take time to help me.I had him the block before lunch and i remember we ate lunch together once. Such a kind and warmhearted soul. I remember his motorcycle that he would drive to school everyday. Rest in peace Les
I had him for Pre-calculus 11. I struggled a lot with that course, so I asked him for help, and then every day after school he would sit down and solve problems with me from the textbook. He would write on his Thinkpad laptop, draw graphs, and solve algebra questions. I can never forget his help and him as a person. Whoever I am today I owe it to this man. Thank you Mr. Brotherston, you are gone, but are and will be forever in our hearts. Afterall, the memories are all that matter.
Had him last year for Pre-Calculus 11 and he is a super nice and caring person. I was struggling in his class and he really tried to help me pass. His teaching was a bit confusing though, and many students did not understand what he was saying. But Pre-Calc is a hard class and I do feel like he tried his best to teach it to us. When he passed away I was very sad about it. He may be gone physically but he will always be remembered by his students for his kind words and caring personality.
Great guy, always had something to say to me even though I always came into class late. I wasn't allowed to attend school for my last two months of the school year but my math mark from Mr.Brotherstons class was way too high to fail me. It was an easy grade 11 class for 2009, may you rest in peace Mr Les Brotherston
Rest In Peace Mr. Brotherston, you will be missed.
nice guy and all but i wish he would try harder to teach us cuz many of my classmates don't bother to show up in his class for that reason. i just feel bad for him sometimes when his classroom only consists of me and a FEW other students.
he's such a nice teacher, and goes out of his way to help each student individually. great teacher.
He is really nice .. maybe too nice ... excepically to the people that don't do anything in class and actually ask him to use his coumpter to go on twitter!! well he does ask the class if they understand but we actually dont he is very funny like a grandpa / santa funny corny jokes crakes people up dont know why my class last year didnt think it was funny :/ although needed help from mom to teach me the math, he has easy quizes and tests nut doesnt check the homework :/ dont know what did wrong
He struggles in explaining his lessons clearly but will go out of the way to help students in his time if they ask. His quizes and tests are also quite easy. Nice guy too.
More than willing to help students who are struggling, multiple choice quizes are absurdly easy to pass, really friendly
pretty helpful, and fair, but he goes through the notes too fast and makes it seem harder than it really is.
mr brotherstons crazy easy i love his class its my hands down favoriate math class ive been in
he s a nice guy but doesnt teach well..i hav to study on my own..i dun think he shuld b a teacher..
Not a very good teacher, but works hard, and sometimes give good hints. Tests are decent, pretty easy most of the time, and he's a nice guy (cept when you try to cheat :P). He is actually pretty clear about things when teaching because he himself tries to understand it before giving lectures.
He's a very nice guy and is really helpful or at least tries to be when you ask. Even though he's very textbook based, I learned two formulas from him in math that he developed and confirmed with others that no other teacher taught their class and those formulas helped me very much on the final.
He does not teach at all, i can not understand his classes.Actually, he teaches difficultly to students
I'd advise y'all to just stay at home and read the textbook. He didn't know how to answer abs(y)=abs(x). I had to go to Chang cuz i didn't understand anything...aiya..haha
If you like a talking textbook then he is the right teacher for you. He doesnt plan his classes and only uses textbook examples. For math 12, he didn't give us any old provincial questions to practice with. I ended up in summer school cuz my mark was not an A.
I love how text-book based he is, it makes it earier to take the lecture home. I understood absolutely everything.
Good teacher. He uses the text book to much but if you fail a test you can retake it as many times as you want till you get 50%.
