Gives out way to many packets and talks way to much. Her class is boring and it's difficult to stay organized. She will give out a note packet, not use it for a solid week, then will randomly ask for it a week later. She doesn't make any test accommodations even when you ask her prior. Only thing I liked about her class was that she gave out snacks on Friday.
She talks the whole class and gives 6384 handouts a day. Her voice is monotonous and it's so hard to pay attention BUT she really cares about students, will do as much as she can to help. If you have her, make sure you do the homework THROUGHLY; she's a tough marker. Read the handouts she gives you, I've messed up so many times on quizzes bc I thought the handouts were trash. Turns out, they hard the exact answers on them You'll have to do most of the learning yourself but it's an easy course
A good person at heart no doubt, but what she love the sound of her own voice. I’ve sat through nothing but lecture classes with her and her homework is stupidly hard to do on your own, when your in her class you need to be focussed or organized cause if your not, your marks are gonna drip real quick. Do not reccomend unless your really into social or you learn better by listening
Gives too many handouts, becomes really confusing. Is a extremely hard marker.
She is a very nice teacher and she would be a good friend but not a good teacher. the way she puts stuff off over and over makes time management hard. She said she wanted to save paper but she's given my class one handout 6 times and it's not even a paper outline. She doesn't actually teach and relies on her handouts so you can teach yourself. DO NOT RECOMMEND. SWITCH OUT IF YOU GET HER.
She is a great teacher. People claim that she does hand out a lot if worksheets, however those are basically the answer keys to the Unit Exam. She does know her stuff and is very knowledgeable. He is a very reasonable teacher, for if I have many exams on one day, she will attempt to postpone her social exam. Most of the class is spent lecturing which I do not mind, as I learn things I could not learn anywhere else. I sadly only have her for a semester, but I really enjoyed her teaching me.
One of the nicest teachers I've ever had! She's super friendly and willing to help and genuinely cares about her students, however be prepared to do a lot of reading in her class because I promise you will be drowning in worksheets! You may need a few binders to fit all the handouts she gives you, and this is not an exaggeration. She really knows what she's talking about but she is a bit of a tough marker, although very lenient when it comes to handing in homework. I enjoyed her class a lot!
This woman knows her history but not how to teach. If you aren't planning on reading approx. 15 handouts a night, or lugging around 3 2-inch binders around to hold all you're stuff that you will inevitably lose, you wont have as much as a clue as to whats going on. Good luck surviving that god aweful boring class every day, you are better off teaching yourself cause thats what you will be doing anyway come diploma prep time.
she will be the reason trees become a thing of the past, I'm surprised the forest of trees in millcreek ravine is still standing due to the amount of handouts we get per class, that you wont go over for another two weeks when they were nothing to you and you lost them. lectures allllll class and wonders why noone is interested in what she has to say.
She talks waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much and gives out to many handouts. Shes easy to talk to though.
She's wonderful, and very friendly! She can be strict if you goof off or are constantly late, but if you're a good person, you're safe. She can be boring and monotone, but she knows her stuff and is very smart! She doesn't mark incredibly hard either. She was one of my favorite teachers. :)
She was probably the worst teacher I have EVER had. She was terrible at explaining things and her monotone voice didn't help much either. She put my entire class to sleep, and her grading system is flawed. She would take the
She is not very good at explaining the content to students. I've just come back from a Social Diploma prep course and, seriousy, I've learned more in the past 4 hours than I have all year.
She's a nice person if she likes you, but does not know how to manage time properly. She's a very strict marker for worksheets
Boring and hard to get into. If it's not word for word from the textbook: it's wrong. Flexible to a degree. Not mean spirited, but comes off abrupt and cold: she tries too hard. You can do better =/
Poor teaching style, prefers to lecture and leave actual teaching to her handouts. Good for extending deadlines for her large amount of worksheets. My worst teacher yet.
I just DON'T understand why some people on here think she's good. I understand that social can be an interesting course, but I don't find her teaching style interesting, and shes not helpful. At all.
Awesome history teacher who inspired me to enjoy history till today. Lots of handouts. Achieve acadamic excellence, thanks to her passion and great teaching skills. Makes the subject exciting.
She's a teacher who definitely knows her stuff. Her class is hard work, but she'll teach you more than you'll need to know. She's extremely fair with negotiation, such as if you request an extension for a plausible reason.
Mrs. Peterson certainly knows her stuff! She knows everything to do with social inside and out. There are alot of worksheets, which make classwork heavy, but you can be sure that you'll know your stuff for your finals!
Easily one of the worst social studies teachers in Wagner. She has been reviewed a minimum of twice for mark discrepencies marks in her class are low then students get to finals and pass. If you want in to Universtiy stay out
Amazing teacher.really knows her stuff. Best dressed at wagner! I've never seen her wear the same thing twice (well most of the time)
she was selected by the director of AP programming for north america to reveiw the Advanced Placement marking guides with a bunch of Profs from Ivy leauge colleges in the states. she is elite.
she is a good teacher who knows the material. she is fair and a lenient marker.
Great teacher had her for 10 and 12. There are a lot of handout s, shes got every angle covered. By the time you are done you will know a lot and feel extremly prepared for the final. Highy recomended
Not the easiset class, but she really prepares you for the exam. One of those social teachers that seems to know abosolutely everything.
She is great, without her I wouldn't find myself interested in social studies. I am more aware of many issues after taking her class.
Mrs. P. helped me get ready for my SS diploma when i didn't think I could do it. Thanks so much!
It's not Mrs. P's fault there's "not enough time" to do anything fun in class..it's the curriculum we have to go thu...she's awesome and smart.
There is "not enough time" to do anything fun in that class
I really like Mrs. P. She knows so much and helps you understand difficult things. You work hard in her class, but you also can do well. She's cool!
Good teacher, but without any windows, and dim lights and dim overhead notes makes one sleepy!
I really like her. She is really smart and knows how to make really hard things easy to understand. And she really helps you understand how to write essays.
She was awesome, very understanding about extending dead lines. I liked how she did not care if we passed notes in class, as long as we were quiet.
