She is one of the worst teachers my child has experienced. She talks about how shes all about respect but she has none for her students. Also when a student has a test coming up she would post what the test is on somewhere online. The bad part is none of the stuff she posts is ever on the tests! My child complains and would probably get way better marks with another teacher. Always yelling at students which gives my child a headache. One of the rudest people to ever cross my path
I had her for grade 11 biology acceleration course in summer school. I understand it's difficult to teach a whole course in a month but she was extremely unreasonable and had temper issues! She expected us to know all of the course context before hand and would get yell when we asked questions. Very discouraging, rude and strongly advise you to switch out of her class!!
Mrs. Reid is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She was tough, but it's only because she truly wants to see you do well and become something. If you're in her class, please read your textbook ahead of time. She wants to have a discussion on the content that you're learning, if you don't know the content you'll just sit there in deafening silence. All in all, Mrs. Reid is an amazing teacher, and it is your responsibility as the student to take initiative and try to learn some things ahead.
Best teacher in milliken all you need to do is reid ahead.
If you cry in front of her, she'll tell you to "not try that on you". When you're stressed and pressured to your breaking point, she doesn't care. She wants participation, but puts down students who get answers wrong. She's probably the most knowledgeable science teacher but she needs to understand what kind of age group she's talking to. I feel sorry for her kids, I wish you luck in life Sebastian.
She tells you to write within the lines on tests, but if you see her answer key, it's probably four times as long as the space she gives, and only fits because it's typed in a tiny font.
Although she is really tough, and has high expectation, she did explained her stuff really well for most of the time and she is really knowledgeable. I personally don't hate her nor like her, I did average in her class. If you are REALLY INTERESTED in Bio, then go ahead and take her class, you could learn alot from her. But you'll have to be prepare for a torment semester.
Teaching is like some sort of torture to her. You can see the anguish on her face the moment she starts speaking. The second you come into class she snaps at you. Expect tirades. She expects you to walk into class already knowing everything. If we knew the content already, we wouldn't have needed her to teach us, would we? She only wants MENSA-level geniuses. Everyone else can eat dirt. Learn the whole course yourself before taking hers. "You either get it or you don't."
Man where do I begin. She tells you to ask questions and all we do is write too much but when you ask questions, she starts yelling at you like you asked what 2 + 2 is. She marks up your test so much that you can't even see your own answers. Expects you to say good morning and good bye to her or else she thinks you were "poorly raised". Bring a freaking tape recorder to class, any word she says could come up on the test or exam. But, I guess she knows her stuff but she still has zero chill.
It's not "Kamala", it's Kamla.. just wanted to correct that. You may hate her while you are in her class, but she teaches well and you can learn a lot if you put in the effort. She didn't bump me up though (sad life)
Extremely knowledgable. One of the best teachers in the school. But she speeds in the school parking lot.
she's always telling people that they have attitude when she has more attitude than the entire class combined together. yells at everyone non-stop from monday to friday. teaches way too fast with no explaining expecting us to learn from her saying 1 sentence in about 2 seconds and then suddenly gives us a quiz. she gives way too much homework that we have to sleep at midnight every single day trying to learn what she was teaching us today because we don't understand her.
She can be strict and scary, but she is by far one of the best teacher for bio. She actually explains stuff, unlike the other bio teachers. Though her tests may be hard, and though she my be tough on you, but you will thank her in uni.
Great teacher. Scary and strict, but one one of the best teachers I've ever had
I had her in night class, and i have to admit if your in her class, you have to really read your stuff before hand, i was kinda of a slacker in her class so i didn't do so well. Its all about preparation and asking questions if you don't know something. She was a hard teacher but overall had good intentions - learn to study hard and never give up. Sure i barely passed, but once you reach university you will understand why shes being so harsh over the bio material. Pay attention in her class!!!!!
Had her in grade 11&12;. Very strict. You gotta work really hard in her class but it really pays off in the end (: She's excellent at explaining concepts. Great teacher. But many students learn to hate her lol. Always read ahead, always.
she has to be the strictest teacher ever, trust me never hand in an assignment late, but she taught me a lot. though her tests were super hard, she had many mark booster assignments that helped everyones average up. but in the end, everyone didnt do as great as they hoped because she has to be the hardest marker ever.
She is super hard, and says that she is willing to help you if you have any problems. But when you ask her questions she yells at you infront of the whole class. This discourages many students from asking her questions. Also she tests you on stuff that is not in the textbook, so you have to be ready for anything.... the exam we had was about 20 pages. SO STUDY HARD IF YOU WANT TO DO OKAY IN HER CLASS.
She is absolutely the most amazing teacher.. she is very helpful....her classes are never boring..! I love her teaching styles..! she is great teacher :)
Although I admit that she scares me, at the same time, I happened to learn WAY more than I expected :) A very good teacher :)
She expects nothing but your best effort to the point that it may seem impossible to meet her standards, but this is truly the 'tough love' attitude you'll need to do well in University and life.
She's a great teacher. Her teaching styles are great.she is very supportive, kind, and answers your question, she does not judge you by the marks you get, rather by ur working abilities. awesome she is
The most outstanding thing you will notice about her right off the bat is her terrible style choice. Aside from the style bashing, she is a fairly good teacher, obviously very experienced but that see
you'll only think shes a good teacher if ur super super super super smart
made me change my mind from doing law and pursue biology..definitely an intimidating teacher but was caring and provided excellent prep..B in university :)
YOU CANNOT ASK HER QUESTIONS, if you do she will get angry :| well anyways she was a good teacher and a nice one if your a good student. she expects you to read bio everyday before coming to class.
You learn but in fear. You ask her a realistic question and she answers sarcastically. :/
It's not all about memorization, it's about understanding. She really does prepare you, so stop crying already.
One of the best teachers who properly prepare you for post secondary :)
Only teacher in the world that doesn't lie to you about university. You hate her at first, but on your first day of Uni. you realise she wasn't lying. I went back and told her she was right.
She's scary at times but because of that, she really gets you on your toes. She makes sure you LEARN something in each class. WARNING: Don't sleep in her class! Don't even look like ur sleepy either!
She prepares you very well for uni, for those who did not do well in her class, that really meant you don't belong in biology. Otherwise, ull find her to be the most intelligent teacher in the skewl
I think she was the best teacher i had in high school. Def. a hard teacher but prepared us for uni well! kind and very smart, def. a mentor for me!
She yells at us way too much, that its so hard for us to learn. All shedoes is complain and complain about how we never come to class prepaed. But,I guess, all in all, she's just preparing us for uni
boring boring presentations, so tired of powerpoint, especially since downloaded from internet, just give me the url
Excellent teacher who actually cares about teaching. She knows how to teach
Very difficult classes. She's a good teacher but she's harsh. Very harsh.
She is a superb teacher and has really interesting stories. Sometimes moody. We all have bad days. A very interesting class ^^
Expects way too much and shouldn't call us stupid even though some of us are. can't you get fired for that man?
overall great teacher. she's one of the best science teachers i've had. i mean, she the way she teaches jus gets info drilled into ur head regaurdless of how redundant it is
honestly she's not that bad... not that hard either.... sorta nice in a strict kinda way
A very professional teacher, who is SO knowledgable and respectable. Although class was tough, she made me push myself and exceed even her expectations.
Reid is a very cool teacher..she teaches in such a way that stuff gets drilled in ur head and u never forget it!!!!
I find that I can't do well in a class taught by a teacher with the grammar level at "how much steps are in glycolysis?"
best teacher ever!! her classes are never boring, always filled with great info! she cares for her students marks and the slide shows are great !!
excellent teacher- gives us alot of good information...made my interest in biology increase...her class is never boring :)
Hey, Mrs.Reid, I really miss you! You know who i am! (Jeeva)
ur take home msg today is the entire course. shes an aiight teacher
she's nice! helped me lots but thinks i'm dUMB! U KNOW WHO I AM REID!!
