Jerry Carter is a very good Math teacher. He is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. Although he may move a little fast at times, and he is quite boring he explains things very well. All the bad reviews are from people who had a bad attitude about Math because they were unwilling to think positively. As long as you come to class on time and with a good attitude you will do very well in his class.
Very slow boring speaker. Fell asleep in his class many times. Terrible at transitioning from grade 8 to grade 9 math. Bad at explaining concepts. Does not connect with students. Saw him out side of school once and he didn’t recognize me at all. Which makes sense considering I only saw him 3 times a week for a year.
While he may be one of the most boring teachers I've ever had, he's also the most knowledgeable. Easily mainted a mark in the high nineties each year I had him, and the way he teaches is clear and efficient. He also always makes sure students understand the concepts he's teaching.
He definitely has his favourites. If you're not one of them, he can be very intimidating. Often goes through things too quickly and does not make it easy to ask for help.
He is such a nice guy and a great teacher. He is very helpful and really cares about his students. He is really nice and the best math teacher I have ever had. He actually makes math make sense. I used to be terrible at math but because of his help I am now above 80%. He is extremely helpful and is great at teaching. If I didn't have him as a teacher I would probably be failing math right now. I am so happy that I got him as a teacher and I hope I have him for the rest of high school.
Not clear at all on descriptions, goes through questions very quickly and it is hard to take notes and listen to what he is saying. Definitely a large drop in math scores once he was my teacher.
Carter gets a really bad rap, but he's honestly pretty helpful if you're polite and ask questions. He cares about how you do, just don't be rude and at least pretend to show interest in math and you'll get along. I admit I wa
If you can stay awake in his classes you'll probably do okay.
He is BY FAR the most boring and least effective teacher i've ever had. The year before i had him I got 93%, the first year with him, I had 70%, my second year with him I got 62%. This year, without him, Im back to 85%.
He's a good teacher, but is soooo boring! He helped us understand things we thought were impossible, but he has this monotone voice that makes you lose focus completely.
really good math teacher, very helpfull and makes it easy to earn good grades
He is an awesome teacher!..he will help you with naything you need and is teaches really well!...
Pretty good. Not alot of fun, but he's very helpfull if you need it.
Had him last year, taught me sooo much about math, I still have over 100% this year in a diff class thanks to him! He's boring, though...
Cool guy but writes wayyyyyyy too fast Say you are on question # 2 he'll be on question #5 at least even if you tell him to slow down!
he really actually is obsessed with the projector and is a fast talker,,,you learn lots but hes does a boring job of teaching it
You need to let us have some fun...and maybe ease up a little...
he goes at a quick speed, gets it all done unlike some. Will give you ALOT of extra help if you take it. A+ teacher, best out there.
Goes REALLY fast but you learn a lot. note: take seat by window.
He is a good math teacher, talks too fast tho and is a lil too obsessesd with his overhead projector..
