Horrible teacher. Classes are not well planned at all, especially when it comes to music theory. Uses horrible analogies that end confusing students. She blackmails her whole class into being part of the band, saying that she will lower your mark if you don’t join, and yells at you if you can’t stay for a practice.
I hope Mrs. Scott-Barnier dies in a hole. Mrs. Scott-Barnier is completely unprofessional, she has frequent outbursts, her teaching methods are very unproductive and she frequently gets into arguments with students who dare to ask a simple question. She needs to learn to put her emotions to the back of her mind and become emotionally detached. She also needs to learn how to mark faster, I haven't gotten back the marks for any of my drama presentations the two we have done throughout the semester
ihateyou. I did everything.. Did everything. Did all my ISPs. Did all my work. And you tell everyone you want us back for grade 10?? HELL NO. I got such a bad mark. I worked so hard on my stuff. Btw I heard some of the marks she gives are bullshitted. BTW RETURN BACK OUT WORK. Seriously we watched movies that had nothing to even do with music and there was so much profanity.
I LOVE music this semester. It's so easy to do well in this class (if you pay attention)! However, she does tend to give more than one project at once, and they're not easy projects
Mrs Scott is a mixed bag. On one hand, her classes are unorganized, exam material is often untaught, and she has occasional yelling fits. On the other hand, she somehow runs the entire department.
you either like or hate this teacher. she is unorganized, can be annoying. its cuz she has so much to handle, and students dont listen cuz they r busy playing with instroments.
I gotta tell you, she is quite nice but also needs a chill pill once in a while. Her screaming is not controlled very well, and she jumped up and down in fury in the cafeteria stage on the day of Sounds of the Season 2008. One other thing, if she wants to help students, she should let students know how they are being marked so that they clearly know what to focus on for improvement. I know it's tough being the only music teacher at Mac, but she can be at least a bit more clear on the courses she teaches.
Why don't you people ever think in someone else's shoes for once? Music isn't an easy subject to teach and frankly, she's the only teacher in the subject. Sure, she yells, she forces you to go to band, but that's because of her passion of us, students, to be successful while under her teaching. Every other course has at least 2 - 3 teachers and some have over 10. But Ms. Scott is the only one in music. We should thank Ms. Scott. Because without her, there wouldn't be a music class in Mac.
Best music teacher I've ever had. Considering though i've only had...3 including her. Still, I have learned the most from her, and I feel people aren't giving enough credit to her. She's the head of music and also the ONLY teacher that teaches it. She teaches it according to what you say your experience is. She's been nice to me, so I consider her a friend. But a lot of people seem to dislike her for different reasons. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Woe is Ms. Scott, for she is the only music teacher in our severely underfunded music department. She's intelligent, dedicated, and as much as you may hate her voice she yells only when she needs to make sure things get done - and then they DO get done.
She's really nice and the hardest-working teacher in the school! Hard to tell sometimes, cuz she juggles numerous music ensembles, music council, all the music classes, and so much more that it's hard to keep up (like with her marking) so stop complaining. She has a great sense of humour and fashion. I highly recommend joining a music ensemble, as long as ur pretty committed. Take her class if u like cooperative learning and one-on-one teaching cuz u'll miss it in university! keep^ the good work ms.scott
I think Ms.Scott is alright when it comes to being nice and understanding students just well maybe her teaching methods and marking schemes aren't soo great.I love her clothes
it's almost december and i haven't got my test back which i took it in the beginning of september! but, i got a 90. very slow at marking but funny
awesome teacher. taught me a lot about music and life.
She's improved over time. I was in her VERY FIRST homeform class, and I learned more independently. She's mellowed out now, but still needs to work on teaching.
Cool to talk to but shouldn't teach drama!!! Who gives an ISP in the week before it's due???
i think that she is ok! i wasn't expecting something like this, but i think that i sort of made a wrong choice between visual arts and drama
Quit whining, all of you. Maybe you should join Music council, then you'd understand what she has to deal with. It's not easy, and she's giving it her all.
in drama its like english class all we do is write stupid reports, lets get down to business and start acting thats soooooo much more fun
What are you talking about? Miss Scott isn't bad. Sure, she has mood swings sometimes and she really should quit smoking but otherwise, she's a terrific teacher
Grow up children! It is not ILLEGAL for a teacher to force you to stay for band. Ms. Scott is a wonderful teacher.
I really don't understand what everyone's problem is. She is truly a great teacher, and really knows what she is talking about, you just don't give her a chance
She should go back to teacher college and learn how to teach or take an acting course so she can at least act like one!!!
too relaxed and lenient with her classes, she should actually plan before teatching. Take music and u'll never have homework, just an isp and an exam
