In Gary Kirchner's class, you walk out of every physics class having understood a significant understanding of what you just learnt. He is crystal clear, enthusiastic and his quirky humour makes the class entertaining! He is always available for questions, even on days when he doesn't have office hours. He gives weekly assignments which stop you from ever falling behind in his course. His tests resemble these assignments. Overall, an amazing teacher who is also extremely nice! TAKE HIM!

Gary is a good fellow! His classes are fun and interesting. He'll hook you on the subject and give you great analogies to help you understand. He is a very fair grader and his tests are fairly straight-forward. He is always in his office, and I mean always... like 7am to 6pm. But when you ask a question, he doesn't explain you the answer. He gives you tools to get the answer yourself. He doesn't like giving answers. He makes you think long and hard instead. Overall, top 3 teachers in physics!

Funniest teacher I know. I used to hate physics, he made it very interesting. Don't be late for his classes and take good care of your notes. His assignments are useful but hard, he doesn't grade them on your answers but what and how you've tried to answer them. His exams are complicated but prepare you extremely well for the finals. Notes are useful (lots of examples) and the labs are fun and pretty easy. Always there to help out, extremely nice and not strict. Seriously one of the best.

Great physics teacher. Very approachable, always available to answer questions during his office hours. He doesn't use Omnivox or MIO, which can be a little bit annoying. Assignments are really easy and tests are fair. You'll get really good grades if you do all of the work. His tests are the same calibre as the final, so they're really good prep for the final. Sometimes his notes are a little confusing, but don't let that bother you, because he's a really good teacher.

Had him for NYA and NYB, and I absolutely love him! By far the best teacher at Abbott. His tests and assignments are pretty tough, but if you actually do them, you will be prepared for the final. He really explains the labs, which makes them a lot easier. Basically, if you do all of your work, and actually go over the assignment and test corrections, you'll do great in his class

NYA: HIs tests are impossible but dont stress.. I failed every single test in class but i ended up getting 70 at the end of semester, which means his tests are 100000000 times harder than the final and the final is worth 40%. The assignements he gives every week are marked based on how hard you try lol. Its almost impossible not to get 10/10 on every assignement. His teaching methods are very visual. I thought he was ok but i didnt like how unflexable he is with marks.

An excellent teacher. His lectures are very clear and he makes the subject entertaining, interesting and even fun. He is helpful outside of class, trying to get you to understand the physics of a problem-which is helpful in the long run -rather than just giving you a quick answer- which may be more useful in the immediate. Assignments are geared towards problem-solving skills, so no matter what questions are on exams, students learn ways to address them. He was great preparation for the final.
