Elmwood describes itself as a science alternative school, however, I think that was a gimmick just to keep the doors open. There is little focus on math/science that sets it apart from normal schools except for mandatory science fair projects (most are basic research based presentations). There is no homework and many kids in gr. 5 don't know their multiplication tables. Extra-curricular clubs are poor (there is a rainbow loom club while lego mindstorms sets go unused). C- rating!
