Best teacher I've ever had
I only had Mr. McCallion for a short period of time this semester but I can truly say that I have never had such a great science teacher before. He taught Grade 11 University Physics before leaving us and he had done a tremendous job in making physics enjoyable. Mr. McCallion always impressed us with his magic skills using physics and created a learning environment that I never experienced before. He has influenced me to pursue physics in the future for grade 12 and university. ~ Harnoor Gill :D
I've only had Mr. McCallion for about a month as he's moving onto post-secondary, but I can safely say he's an amazing teacher. He's extremely knowledgeable and has true passion for what he does. He makes his class interesting by teaching us real-world application of physics, such as the Large Hadron Collider. After mentioning in passing that I was interested in the brain, Mr. McCallion brought me multiple magazines about neuroscience the following day. He genuinely cares about his students.
One of the most engaging and enthusiastic teachers out there! Mr. McCallion never fails to keep us interested, and I believe he has given all of his students a deeper understanding of physics beyond the textbook stuff.
Mr. McCallion was an awesome physics teacher (and magician). He is a funny guy and has a lot of cool gadgets to show the class. He's not one of those teachers that teach because its their job, but he teaches because he is passionate about it. He really do care about his students and their future and shows us ways and informations that are very helpful once we enter post-secondary. Goodluck on your new job and I hope you the best!
I had this teacher only for the beginning of the semester because he was going to his new job to be a professor. Even with the small amount of time I had him for, his teaching skills far outweigh any other teacher by far. He knows how to explain well, can even be funny while doing so and generally cares about students :D This is a really good teacher and made physics a very interesting subject that I will now defnetly pursue in grade 12 and university. Thanks for the amazing job. :)
Amazing teacher, extremely informative and ridiculously smart. He makes physics fun and I never lose interest.
Great teacher! Informative and engaging techniques that make learning fun! He made me love science!
Super nice guy but was very particular about how you did things. Goes off topic ( even though it was interesting) and repeats stuff. Takes along time to do first units and rushes through the last. Be very specific when you ask questions or else you won't get the answer you're looking for. He is very vague. Notes are hard to follow. Like I said nice guy but not a good physics teacher. Good for chem though.
Very focused his "favourites," hardly ever takes up a question in a helpful manner to students, and is very disorganized. On numerous occasions, I or fellow students would ask him what we would be doing the following day if we would not be there, and his response would be "I'm not sure what we'll be doing yet." This is a very accurate reflection of his teaching abilities. Overall, one of the worst teachers I've ever had.
Thx for making Phys interesting! good real life examples! Pun master too lol. but goes off task all the time haha
Mr. McCallion, thank you for the great semester I had with you in gr 12 Physics, 2004/2005. I enjoyed your class and hope your style of interesting/informative teaching never ends
Good teacher, soo nice but sometimes you would get off topic and tjhen stuff would be boring
You have a really great personallity but you need to stay focused on the curriculum and offer more help to your students.
YOUR THE BEST! I adore your class! and your such a nice guy! keep up the good work!! Ps: GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible! Skips to much in the course. Fun class but we waste so much time. There is no consistency in your tests and just need to be on task from the start
Thanx Mr. McCallion You really made science enjoyable fpr me
GOOD TEACHER. BUT UR A LEAF SUPPORTER!! BOOOOO LEAFS
