So sad she's retiring this year, she should've totally stay for few more year. Best teacher ever, I'm so lucky to have her since she's probably the only teacher that actually explain the process. You know many teacher just fool around and still gets the same salary as others, but ms Choo gets the same money but she doubles all the work and actually spend her time to really teach the students.
She's the best math teacher!!!!! Probably the only math teacher that actually teacher students in our school. She explains all the process and stuff!!!!!
I had her last year. The class I was in was so loud that I would hear her lecture all of the time like how could she even manage a class that loud. It was so hard to concentrate in class because of that but she's a decent teacher tho, wouldn't say that she's boring or not because I've learned a lot from her
Ms Choo is SO amazing!! I can't stress it enough. Basically you spend the entire class time taking notes and listening to her explain, but it's so worth it because she helps you understand EVERYTHING. I was in math 10 enriched, and when I was doing math 9 in grade 8, I didn't understand anything (because I had a bad teacher), so I had to constantly ask my dad for help. This was definitely not the case this time, I never had to ask him once! She prepares you so well for provincials too, 100%!
took her class back in 2004. the way she lectures is not the most exciting. you know, the usual going over math problems overhead the entire class period. she has a rather dry personality when lecturing. BUT i found she was by far the most helpful and understanding math teacher in Churchill. nice, easygoing atmosphere.
I was getting 80% in grade 11 with mr.C, now in grade 12 im getting a 66 and working even harder then last year. If you want to go to university i would transfer out of her class for senior students.
I started the year having a strong disdain for this teacher. But as the year went a long, I started growing fonder of her. I used to think she was strict and mean, but now I realise that she truly cares about her student's academic growth, and that's why she's so harsh. Thank you, miss Choo. It's been a good run.
a good math teacher. she tries to be "strict" but her personality is simply nice
SO CHILLL!!!! Ms. Choo can teach. Only problem is that there is a constant battle to stay awake. Otherwise, I'd love to be in her class again.
A very nice teacher. Great notes, okay tests(as long as you write necessary steps neatly). Only problem is her classes are boring.
She lets you sleep, play games, pretty much whatever you wanna do. :p
u know, u should feel lucky if u get her as Math teacher.
class is slow, but class is extremely clear. Notes are great. Tests reasonable.
great time to catch some sleep :), other wise...its all good
Not bad. Everyone who says shes boring...you are correct. I slept like 11 hours one day, I had math first block, and I still fell asleep. Personally, I just scribble down some notes and sleep.
Gee. Someone who is immature and doesn't know how to take responsibility for himself is spamming the page with 1s. She's a good teacher and is very friendly and helpful. I really like her.
Really good at teaching, but thats if you can follow what she says in class. I probably fell asleep lotta times but she's really good at explaining, if you have the time to ask.
Yes, she's boring as hell. However, if you manage to stay awake and take down her notes, you'll see that she really knows how to teach math. Had her 3 years in a row and she has yet to disappoint.
I think that her armpit sweat is cheesy when you mix it with coconut juice
Boring class...She goes on and on and on and on and on .. But her notes are neat and organized. If you put effort in, you will achieve good grades
In terms of teaching she's one of the best. If only she was more interesting.
Very, very boring! Did I mention she is boring? I find math important, however I find it hard to care what the sum of all root is when half the batlle in the class is 2 stay awake!
very helpful, but reallly boring, you can fall asleep in class. She's nice if you listen in class.
Ms. Choo is the best math teacher I've ever had. She explains things very well and clearly. If you care and actually try, it's not that hard to do well in her class.
a very helpful and nice teacher... really good memory! If you actually wanna learn Math, u should definitely choose Ms. Choo to be your math teacher.. She's really good at teaching!!
Ms. Choo is dedicated to her profession and motivated to teach students a subject that most think boring and difficult, Math. As a teacher, she's an allround good teacher. As in, she gives structured lessons, she explains thoroughly, she helps and answers questions. It is important to do the work when shes asks you to and you will excel at her quizzes and tests! The level of difficulty of the tests is semi-hard.
She's not that bad. In terms of teaching, she knows what she's talking about. Her quizzes are easy, tests are semi-hard, and homework is just typical "mark yourself" assignments in textbook. As for class... well just know that for the first two weeks, she made half of the entire class fall asleep. She's still awesome; helps you when you ask and has good logic/explanations.
i fell asleep in her class.......after hearing her for 30 mins. I tried my best not to fall asleep, but it was SO HARD. seriously. I usually dont' fall asleep for classes, but i always do for hers. Her quizzes are out of too little so one silly mistake kills your mark.
She is definitely not my favourite teacher - However, she is not all that bad. All you have to do is pay attention and take notes. That may seam easy - but in her class ITS NOT! She has this voice that automatically makes you bored and sleepy. Only a handful of people are able to stay concentrated. (I for one, am not one of them). If you can concentrate in your class, consider yourself lucky. If you cant, then I suggest getting some extra help outside of class. Thats what I did.
IF you can actually pay attention (i can't).. you'll do fine. Only problem is that she gives too much homework over the weekends.. but there's always the answer key at the back of the textbook. Only flaw with that is that you might fail ur quiz/test
Very nice teacher who actually teaches...but some of the stuff on her tests arnt in her notes/in the textbook :( ...Only thing I hate is when we get our test back, and then she swoops over me and goes "you would've done okay but you seriously dont know your arithmetic". And then everyone in the class knows you messed up on the test.
she knows how to teach, lots of examples and explanations..but the thing is that her voice is magical that it puts you to sleep.. she always asks questions and answers them by herself
good teacher. VERRYYYYY boring classes..... Makes you want to fall asleep.
She's pretty good at teacher and her tests are fair. Her marks are not judgemental, but somehow....her class is really boring and her voice is very irritating to listen to, but overal she's a fine teacher
she is the best teacher ever, she helped my daughter a lot
Begins each class by telling us how badly we did on the test/quiz, how much work we have to do, and how hard math is going to be next year. Then she heads over to the overhead projector, time slows down, and students start falling asleep. She isn't that bad of a teacher, but she's a terrible person. If someone doesn't do well on a test/quiz, she reads the mistakes out loud, then walks over to the person, returns the paper(s), and in a loud voice says: "you made those mistakes!" She's a hard makrer too.
Knows her stuff, well prepared; but needs some serious, SEVERE training to get rid of that monotone voice...it quadruples the amount of sleepiness I have to fight in order to stay awake, even if I have too much energy...Most people fall asleep in her class anyway, so don't feel bad if you do XD The textbook is pretty much useless in her class by the way~ and make sure you know your stuff from previous years!
Clear way of teaching, but needs to learn to engage a class. She's too used to teaching math robots! Good teacher, though pretty boring.
Excellent teacher a lil boring at times but she teaches well.
no homework check is the only thing i like about her
Among the math teachers, I think she is a good teacher. But every time you get tons of quizzes and tests from her.
Nice math teacher and very clear ...tho alot of tests and quizs
She's a very "asian" teacher. Don't expect to improve if you don't have talent. Otherwise, she's a nice teacher. One of the hardest math tests I've seen though...
she doesn't talk much...real serious* but her notes tests are really straightforward and clear =] best math teacher i had so far~
The ones who complain about Ms. Choo are the ones who are failing because they're stupid. The people who complain here are the ones who don't even take notes, don't listen in class, and shouldn't bother going to class in the first place because they just need something to whine about. She constantly offers help to people and she knows all her student's weakness. She understands how ALL her students are doing, and theres nothing more to ask for then that.
I had her last year, and she tought me a valuble lesson with out realizing it. She taught me the valuez of taking down notes in class. All you have to do is take notes in her class and that'll garentee you to understand how to do your hw. A great teacher, very nice!!!!
Not a very bad teacher, (at leas shez tryin to teach. didn rely learn anythin, cause itz hard 4 ppl to stay awake in her clas.
very difficult to learn math in her snoozy class. she needs to use new learning techniques, it would be easier for students to learn
if you do poorly in her class, that's your problem - listen, take notes, and you're set
She does what she's supposed to- explains clearly & gives excllnt notes.Shes boring? So what? It's not her job to entertain us.If you want that, go watch a movie.
She's the best math teacher I ever had, only she is a little monotone, sort of hard to not fall asleep.
everybody thinks her tests are hard, but if you do your hw and always ask for help..you will get at least B+. I feel that she is the best math teacher. ^^
I wish ever school teacher (especially the physics department) teaches as well as Ms. Choo does. She's my best teacher ever!
The best math teacher in my life!!! I will never forget about you ..Ms Choo. A real teacher...knows how to teach...knows whatz called fairness.
The notes are important for our success, but its just too much.
Ok her monotone voice WILL PUT YOU TO SLEEP- RESIST FALLING A SLEEP- drink some coke or whatever- She gives amazing notes- her tests and quizes r ok!
Good notes. She will explain until you get the stuff. Quizzes aren't that bad, tests are horrible at times. A break or two for the students will be nice.
soooooooo boring. beware. Bring headphones, or a pillow. its brutal. The only reason you fail is cuz shes boring
gives me an headache listening to her... soooo boring and literally haf the class went to sleep
One of the nicer teachers. Very organized and gives good notes, easy quizzes.
ZZzZzzz bring in a pillow and get ready to fall asleep
she's nice.. but her clz is reali reali reali boring...
I like her teaching method. She may be boring but her teaching preps u well.
nice teacher, gives hard tests and quiz, talk, sleep she dun care
She's a good teacher, but she tries to be funny and fails miserably.
borin class...nice teacher...notes taken...regular test/quiz
Nice person, good teacher (organized, gives good notes, but sometimes too much).
NO LIKES HER!! dont like her teaching strategy and crap.
more than enuf marks to advance to ma10 enriched. she cut me off!
