I was not good at electronics and both Mr. Smith and I knew it. Nonetheless, he encouraged me, helped me, and best of all, encouraged me to help myself. I will always remember discussing career aspirations with Mr. Smith. His advice was that if you are prepared to work really hard and get the good marks, worries about too many graduates and not enough jobs are secondary. Great advice, which I took to heart.
The BEST teacher I ever had in my life! Mr. Smith taught Electronics balancing old school 'trial and error' with a healthy respect for electricity, relentless trouble shooting techniques that made you really question your theories and work before submitting them. Mr. Smith wanted to you to learn and NEVER spoon fed his students. Those that did not respect the course or electricity quickly found out the hard way. It's too bad 'the eductaion system' does not condone responsible teaching today.
Don't make me take you to the do-jo! Smitty was an awesome math teacher... I really smart and nice guy if you were willing to work hard. Glad to see him subbin
Best Teacher I ever had. My career in electronics is a glowing success thanks to him!
Wish he was still teaching math. Very helpful. Best math teacher i've had.
