Dennis Ferreira
Extremely condescending, makes you feel bad for asking questions. Hard tests.
I like Mr. Ferreira. He has good notes and explain things well, but he comes off very condescending. His tests and exams are very difficult. He doesn’t explain math well with students one on one.
I got A+ in University Calculus because I finally had a good math teacher. With Ferreira I was borderline failing AP math as he is unclear as possible and does not go over fundamentals that will show up on his exams mysteriously. Unapproachable.
Has good notes and knows what he's talking about in regards to high school math, but questionable character and unkind. In my experience and opinion he shouldn't be a teacher because it doesn't seem like he has the heart for it, either that or he should practice empathy and humility. Teenage years are an important part of a persons life and experience and from what I've seen he shouldn't be a part of it. Especially if the student is really struggling, he will only kick you down more.
He is smart and knows what he's talkin about but is extremely condescending and rude when it comes to dealing with students he doesn't like
Mr. Ferreira was the best Math teacher I have ever had in my life. I was never great at math before grade ten but still took AP where I had him for the first time. I was suddenly understanding everything and getting high 90's on my tests. Even when I didn't understand something he was always there to help and explain it to me. He was always there and rooting for me to succeed in his class. 10/10 would recommend.
He wasn't my favourite. He would make a better friend than teacher I believe! He needs to improve on actually helping students understand the material. He needs to get out of whatever kinda bubble.
Worst teacher I have ever had I have tought myself the textbook in a week better then he thought me in a week
First off, Mr Ferreira somehow loves the number zero. I think he enjoyed giving that to his students as well. He pays no attention the the people struggling in his class, and shows no intention to help. When you ask for help, he usually is busy looking at his laptop. Most of the time he runs off for the rest of the class after he is done writing notes. Many of the people who struggle in his class have a good work ethic, but it seems that he just views them as if they don't care. Bad class.
Mr. Ferreira seems more concerned with arguing with his high school age students than he does with actually teaching the class. His own knowledge is at best, the minimum requirements and it's hard to learn a thing from him when he shows up 30 minutes late for class consistently. Takes the term "unprofessional" to a whole new level.
Excellent teacher! His notes are the best from all the math teachers at this school, and class discussions make sense and help us learn. I hear some complaints about him, but the complaints usually
Really friendly and great guy to be around. He`s casual and nice and respects most students. His teaching is a little bit vague and sometimes he will assume you know things that you don`t.
He has a very casual, welcoming and helpful friendship with the class. Veryy nice person. Very cool guy, but i found his teaching style wasnt too personally compatible with me
he is a terrible teacher and never stays in class or helps anyone.
VERY difficult to understand, really struggled in that class. and it wasnt due to the mathematic factor. Nice person, means well.. very understanding.
His teaching style isn't for everyone. You have to do alot of the thinking yourself, which for alot of people is tough. But a funny guy, definatley cool.
Great teacher. Knows his stuff, and has a very casual relationship with the class. Not afraid to admit to mistakes. Actually *LISTENS* to students.
A bit disorganized at times, but generally a cool person who relates with the students. And he also lets us play games during class, which is kinda cool.
this guy is awesome! his class is fun and he is easy going. math classes are usually the most boring, but teachers like him make it bearable.
Hahahaha! Super cool and helpful if you ask for assistence. Also does lots of examples in class. Great repoire witih students!!!
