she was intimidating at first but after a while i loved her. best english teacher i've ever had. makes everything super clear, and we had the most interesting class discussions. as long as you're willing to work and put in your best effort she'll help you with anything (which is pretty fair imo). shakespeare was slightly less painful with her teaching it.
Best english teacher one could possibly get, she gives good tests and is not a strict marker. She explains everything before a quiz and makes sure you know it. I was terrible at english and git a low mark in Ms. DiPaolo's class, but, Yamashita rocks! Scary at times but a great marker. She gives us a ten minute break during every class to either go on our phone or whatever you want!
very unfriendly, scary, disrespectful just some of the words to describe her.... not recommended if you want a nice teacher
In university, the notes from her class are my most helpful tool I took from all my years of highschool. She teaches at a university level, which may be helpful for those who are ambitious and difficult for those who just want the credit. Of all the teachers I had, she prepared me the best, made me work the hardest, and I'm much better off for it. She seems mean because she has no patience for students who just don't care, she loves the subject that much. The comments she puts on your work are entirely cons
I will never forget her reading harry potter to my class in grade 9, even changing her pitch for different characters voices, amazing
She is the best English Teacher. She is so helpful and will work with you to get the mark you want. She is a fair marker and I found it rare that she actually gives feedaback you can use.
She'll make you work. English isn't easy and you'll find it hard to get that "A" on your essays but she prepares you for what is to come in Uni. A clearly-written essay will always save your butt. She's a little crazy but very helpful. Be sure to ask her to act out "The Yellow Wallpaper" woman and ask her about Harry Potter.
Ms. Yamashita is the best teacher I have ever had. I love her teaching style because she is able to use her knowledge with technology and incorporate it into her lessons. I can always looked forward to her class everyday and hated it when I was absent. Though she does seem mean in the library, she is actually so kind and funny in the classroom. If you have her on your timetable and are thinking of switching, give her a chance for a week. I feel so fortunate and honoured to have had her (and her cookies!)
Best teacher I have ever had, and was overjoyed at finding her as my grade 12 english teacher. Intimidating, but helpful if you're willing to work. Can teach, which most teachers nowadays can't do.
She's nice, but a little intimidating (like the rest of the english teachers). Many awkward silences in that class.
hard but good teacher. knows how to teach and not TOO TOO unbelievably hard like other mean impossible teachers. stay on her good side thou. oddly funny.lol.
super super super hard teacher..but its good..i guess!
Good HARD teacher! Shes really nice, BUT YOU BETTER BE ON HER GOOD SIDE!
shes super helpful and explains everything, i actually learned with her!
shes the best english teacher ever, and she understands us as students
