DO NOT CHOOSE HER CLASS if you want to get into engineering. Your mark would drop 10 % compared to other teacher's classes. She thinks that HER answer is the ONLY correct answer for quizzes and labs.I’m really serious here.
Best chem teacher i've had in my whole 12 years of school. Even better than some of my current chem profs in uni. Her notes on the whiteboard are very useful and precise. She is a tough grader and might call on you during class, so know your material. Even if you do really bad in chem20 (I finished with a 62, different teacher of course), if you get Ms. Stirrett for chem30, you'll do good (i ended with an 83). DEFINITELY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PRACTICE TESTS SHE POSTS ONLINE. They help a lot.
had her for chem 30, best experience ever. she's very passionate and knowledgeable about the course material. her notes are well organized, and her classes are always fun because of the student interaction and jokes every so often. the quizzes can be a bumpy road sometimes, so you have to be extra careful with those. she also assigns google classroom assignments that are kind of a pain to do sometimes. overall a really pleasant person to talk to, 10/10 would recommend
Scariest teacher I've ever met. Does not let go of you until you answer her question. But she gives godlike notes and has a great sense of humor. Do your homework if you're in her class, she will randomly select students.
great notes, teaches thoroughly, tests are VERY hard (even the quizzes!). she knows a lot about chemistry and her passion shows. she's really funny!
Mrs. Stirrett is an amazing teacher. She's incredibly intelligent.
Godlike notes. Ms. Stirrett is scary not gonna lie. But she's amazing. She knows basically everything there is to know about chem, and she's enthusiastic about it. She'll probably make you feel a bit stupid, but whatever. Her tests are hard, and she marks with no mercy. But i still love her.
She is so much like my teachers in China.Strict, barely smile but SUPER AMAZING!You actually can learn a lot from her class. haha and no one dares not to do their homework because she will pick any student to answer the questions , which is so scary but I like it ! Thank you Ms. Stirrett!
Strict and intimidating and teaching style can take you a little time to get used to but overall AMAZING at teaching and SUPER helpful!!! I miss being in her IB class and honestly I don't think there's a teacher at shep that can teach chem better than her!!
Very good chem teacher. Very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor, especially if she likes you. She's very nice and cares about all her students success and is always available before school, at lunch and after school if you need help with anything.
She's a great chem teacher, but is intimidating. You'll do fine if you're smart and can understand right away. Do your homework because she calls on you in class, and it actually helps - a lot. Picks on you if you're a slacker. Amazing notes.
Very strict and calls on you in class. However, she gives out AMAZING notes and explains everything really clearly. Best chem teacher I've ever had!
Best chem teacher! Very clear, and very helpful. Her notes are very clear and if you need help, she would be more than happy to help you
Definitely not one of those super-smiley//nice teachers. She's pretty strict and calls on you in class...HOWEVER, her notes are amazing and i learned TONS from her. My favorite chem teacher in the sch
VERY clear explanations and excellent notes, knows her stuff real well, sometimes a bit irritable though, but can have a great sense of humour.
Great if you are on her good side (better if you are her favorite). Quality notes and explanations. She bumps marks up at the end of the term.
When I had her for Chem 25IB I didn't like her. But I'm taking Chem 30 right now, and I realise how much I had learnt from her, and how she really was a good teacher.
very smart and defiantely covers and teachers concepts very well. other than that awful. plays favourites, predicted who in the class would get what mark on the diploma, lost one of my labs and said i didnt hand it in, rude
Mrs. Stirrett is the best teacher in Ross Sheppard, hands down. She does not really play favourites (although it may seem like it) but she cares about her students immensely.
Best chem teacher by far .. great explanations and i love her notes unlike some teachers ... but she does have these mood swings tho... oh well her teaching totally compensates for it
she is a cool teacher and if you dont get her mad shes really nice, she is a good teacher..makes herself clear and great explanations, best chem teacher ever
she's not spectacular. she knows her stuff. doesn't like boys very much for some reason, she sometimes gets really mad for the smallest, most minor joke.
Really funny person. If you get involved with class discussions and show some interest, she'll enjoy having you in her class. Always available at lunch time if you don't understan
hard marker. favours smart kids. hates dumber and slower kids. good sense of humour and not much homework.
Best chem teacher in the school hands down. Great notes, great explanation, amazing help and she is some what entertaining.
she always get angry for no reason. However, she knows her stuff, but she can't teach. Really boring, and too much notes to copy
She clarifies topics which are troubling students and goes over trouble spots several times. She also gives us hints on diplomas. Bad thing - Late Book...
she is a mix of Mr Mar and Ms Macdonald. She is something in between. the best teacher I've ever had
The best chem teacher. Always helpful, great sense of humour.
