Ms.Cohen is a wonderful teacher; very knowledgeable and good at what Sheba does. She is very passionate about English as well as world culture, so I think is likely that her classes will consist of a lot of off topic discussion, but it is always insightful. All in all great teacher who is a hard marker but a wonderful person.
Her English class is good but 95% of the time the class discussion will be on random tangents (interesting albeit irrelevant to the course). Very interesting woman, easy to just chat with- especially if you're into world issues
My daughter was in private school from JK to Grade 8 and entered the public school system in Grade 9. I was worried about the attention she would receive as well as the level of education & support. Deborah Cohen exceeded all my expectations in every area. My daughter enjoyed her class and was eager to participate. Each and every time I had a question and reached out to Deborah Cohen, her response was within an hour and she addressed each and every question with patience and detail.
Ms. Cohen is an absolute gem. Don't let her reputation of being strict intimidate you- you do have to actually do work in her class but it is easy to be successful because she genuinely wants her students to do well. It isn't uncommon for her to talk for the entire class, but she talks about interesting things that are relevant and you will probably end up learning more than if you were doing curriculum work.
Best teacher ever
Very smart and knowledgeable. She knows so much about world issues and if you get on her good side her class will be a breeze.
nice teacher. can be strict and doctrinal. study hard tho
Ms Cohen is a nice teacher. She's a fair marker, thorough editor, and she knows her stuff. She rambles in discussions, and she can be demanding at times, but only because she wants to help students become better writers. Very smart woman.
Very knowledgable when it comes to English and Religion Studies! She's a hard marker, but is patient with students and it is very easy to talk to her about anything. I found her a bit biased when taking her World Religions course, and often unwilling to take other students' interpretations, but still very informative and thorough!
Mrs. Cohen is The Best!
Although she's got a bad rep from the lazier students, I absolutely adore Mrs Cohen. If you wanna get on her good side, join Model UN or the Newspaper club (both of which she runs!). She's such a cool lady and a pretty knowledgable teacher. Highlight of the semester was our Life of Pi pie party.
she is a really good teacher and she knows what she's talking about, but she can be pretty strict and she has a tendency to talk for the whole class
Very good teacher, lucky to get her, yes at time she will link her own life experiences to novels which tends to make people say "she rambles on" but these links help people understand the novel from
She won't look at any other perspectives other than her own. Her tests are brutally stupid and she is very unhelpful.
Great teacher. I had her for world religions and she was such a good teacher! It was one of my favourite classes out of all of high school!
had her for english, was the best!! smart, helpful, kind.
I have nothing but hatred for this woman. She is an awful teacher who preaches and preaches about rightful action but she is not even a good person herself. Her classes are ideal to sleep in
She's really nice if you do your work in her class, which I did :)
An OK teacher, but compared to others, not the best. Tends to ramble off subject and not teach what needs to be taught. Nice, but could be better
I fall asleep almost every class...not gonna lie. But she is super nice and sorta understands students. Talks alot..but that makes the class quite easy. Nice woman.
she likes to talk alot. she is fairly decent marker most of the times. very understanding and warm. doesn't teach too well
pretty good teacher, but her classes sometimes feel really long. lots of class discussions with her - don't expect her to stay on topic.
I love Mrs. Cohen! She's the best english teacher at the school. Thanks!
yay! i love english! with the books and the reading and the books!
yah! stay on topic once and a while we truly dont care about youre lumber room
