really nice and i think her quizzes are harder than her tests
She's a pretty nice and sweet teacher. If you're really close to the next letter grade, she won't mind rounding it. She's someone you don't want to offend, your first impression is key to doing well in the class. Stay on her good side by not talking when she is talking, don't text during class and just be an overall "good student". Her tests are rather hard and her quizzes or quests are basically like tests.
Overall, she is helpful information wise but very picky on the marking. AND JUST TO BE CLEAR ALL THE GOOD RATINGS ARE MOSTLY ESL STUDENTS. She specializes in teaching that and likes it there. If you have her for a regular English class work hard (I did). Her pep talks may seem annoying and RUDE but is actually for the best. She is nice if you try to know her. (She lent me a book over the summer.) You'll kinda miss her once your done with her. But not maybe not enough to want her again.
i totally agree with the person below. her marking includes lots of abbreviations that aren't explained.
We learned about acting and even had to memorize lines. You kidding me? Where is the English in this! Confusing way of marking. Fake cheerfulness really annoys me.
People in my class hate her, but I think she's okay. She's generally not that bad as a person. However, she marks unreasonably and I haven't really learned anything in her class.
she's fairly good teacher,as it's fairly simple and straight forward work she gives.Too much grammar correcting for my class,i think we understand our mistakes
She's fairly boring; she doesn't make Romeo and Juliet interesting like it should be.
As an ESL teacher, Ms. Matheson really has a positive attitude for the students. New students feel welcome and warm in her class. We always love ya!!!!!
One of the best English teachers I've had. Helped me a lot.
TOO GOOD!!BEST ENGLISH TEACHER IN ESL. IF SHE COMPARE TO THE OTHER ESL TEACHERS, SHE CAN HAVE 100%. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE OTHERS CAN ONLY HAVE 10%.
