Knows a lot about math and is a great teacher. She is nice and cares about the students. She's a little too strict, though.

She, in my opinion, isn’t a very good math teacher. She talks waaay too fast and doesn’t know how to explain things properly. We will go through most of the unit and I’ll genuinely not understand anything she’s talking about and when I use apps to help clarify the ridiculous about of homework she assigned, I’ll understand in minutes. The fact that an app is teaching me better in a few minutes then she is through a couple weeks says a lot.

Mrs. Hutton is an ok teacher but she talks too fast, writes in many colors on the board and when she gives us a lesson she only goes through the easiest ones and leaves the hard ones for us to struggle with until the next day when there is a totally new topic with the same thing all over again.

Mrs. Hutton is genuinely a good teacher. She's concise, and her notes are colour coded ( can't go wrong with that). Last year I had a teacher that seriously lowered my confidence in my mathematical abilities and made me doubt the career path I was heading into ( most of you can probably guess who I'm not so subtly hinting to). I'm a good student but I admit I need a bit more assistance in math. This year, I have seen an substantial increase in my grades and much of the credit goes to Ms.Hutton.

Ms Hutton's a great teacher, she presents everything very clearly and helpfully, with her subtle but appreciated sense of humor. Switch out of Shanks and get into this class, pronto

If you put in the effort, she will always help. If you don't she can't help you anyhow. She is like your future boss, only difference is, your future boss isn't fair like her, nor does he care if you try. She was my math teacher 20 years ago, I'm now work in engineering. Thanks Ms.Hutton.

I really appreciate her attempt for preparing young adults for the real world, but she could make things more appealing and less frustrating and stressful for the students. Try a little creatively, and work on a attitude adjustment and you might see better results.

her philosophy is... if you dont attempt your homework completely (all questions must be attempted showing clear equations and so forth) then she wont help you.. so if you dont understand ur screwed.
